has anybody who is a DCL bride had any luck securing a cake tasting? We were told it’s a No, not gonna happen kind of thing?!? Thank you!

We were told the same in 2016. Our cake was pretty good, not mind blowing or anything but very good. I had no issues with it anyways. Good luck!

I believe we had a yellow cake with chocolate filling? It's so crazy that I can't remember for sure! I'm not sure if I'm getting it mixed up with the cake with our at home reception, which I think was yellow cake with raspberry filling, but it might have been the other way around!

Actually, it might have been yellow cake with strawberry filling, because we had a guest at our at home reception that had a severe strawberry allergy so we couldn't have it there, so I believe we decided to have it on the ship.

No, we didn't have tasting.
We asked if the cake could be brought to dinner in the MDR, it was on the table when we arrived.
We then gave it to the staff to share after we all ate a piece.
It was a good cake.
