Cruise America RV rental?

Does anyone have any experience renting an RV from them? We are tent campers who would like to try renting an RV this winter, but would like to know if this would be a good way to go. Thank you!

No experience here, but if you're renting for The Fort here is a good option.

They drive it to the Fort, set it up, break it down, all you need is clothes and food.

2goofycampers....thanks for the link--it looks great, but it's already taken for the week we could be down there. We were also looking to rent one to use at a state park in South Carolina for a week, so if anyone has used them, let me know!

I have used Cruise America several times and always had a good experience. The RV's were well maintained and I never had any sort of mechanical problems.

I've never rented, but we know 3 families (two local and one visiting from Europe) who have rented from Cruise America, and all had a good experience.

They are certainly popular at the fort. Any time I've been there, you see alot of Cruise America RVs in the campgrounds.

Personally I have not rented from them but I know it is a national company with local offices. The only advice I have is make sure you get the package that fits you and be carefull of addional charges like generator run time. If you need to run it be sure to have enough hours included or the cost could go way up on you. Just read the contract carefully.

Wow..those rates are pretty good. I was surprised. I've looked into Cruise America and they were a fortune from NY..and then they charge you mileage too. I didn't know camping world in Kissimee had rentals. The prices certainly are competitive.
