Now that CRT has all the princesses too, which one of these character meals is better? I don't think either of them guarantee which princesses will be there, correct? Which one did you choose and why?

We have been to both and they are very similar. If cost were not a factor I would choose the castle. My girls love to eat in the castle!

They are both very similar... get a picture, see the princesses, etc. but the COST is the big difference. SO, if you can live without eating in Cindy's Castle, then do Akershus and save some $$ (or table service credits). My dd was young enough that she didn't know any different, and my boys didn't care. ;)

CRT hands down..... Why? LOCATION... LOCATION... LOCATION!!!

Everyone should do it at least once! (Heck, we did it twice in one day once.....but in my defense, we were only a party of 2 that trip...)

Twice in one day might be a record.

We've done both CRT and Akershus on both of last two trips. We love them both. We have the both booked again for our upcoming May trip. DD cannot get enough princesses.

If I could only do 1 and didn't think I'd be back to WDW for a while, I'd probably choose the CRT for the experience. However, the pragmatist in me says that Akershus is a better deal. But why let a little thing like pragmatism get in the way when you're on vacation at WDW?:thumbsup2

CRT is definitely worth doing at least once, just because it is the CASTLE! but character interaction wise I thought Akershus was far better. They actually took time to talk to the girls and were quite lovely, not rushed at all. We've dont CRT twice now and the dinner was just the godmother and the mice (they have changed that now and they have princesses from what I hear) which was lovely just b/c it was the first time ever:lovestruc but the 2nd time we did breakfast and it was atrociously rushed, the princesses were kinda rude and overall not that fun. I hope things have improved b/c I did book a breakfast again for Aug:rolleyes1 why? I don't know...just can't stand not to eat the the castle I guess;)
So bottom line, Akershus character better, food probably comparable and cheaper but the castle IS the castle.

I have done CRT many times, and had great interaction, and rushed interaction. We have done Akershus several times too... and guess what? It's a mixed bag too. Last trip was our worst at Akershus for interaction (with the exception of an exceptional Ariel!) but probably because we had the worst seat in the house, right up near the buffet, and right out in the open for anyone coming into the restaurant. We were a party of 4 and took every ounce of space. So when the princesses came by we were blocking everyone's way when they stopped to see us. I even asked for a different table when we saw where we were headed, but no go. I guess someone has to sit there, right?

Regardless, I think either place is kind of the luck of the draw in terms of interaction.
