CRT Ressies for 4 but not 3

I have reservations for lunch at CRT for our upcoming trip. When I originally made our ADR, DH was planning on join the kids and I, but since he's decided to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour instead. I called to update the reservation and was told that I would lose the ADR because there were no "tables for 3" available for my time/date. Whatever So the CM told me not to cancel. My question is, if we keep the reservation as it stands for 4 but only 3 of us dine, will we be 'charged" the 2 DDP credits that my DH would have used?

I don't have an answer for you. But whatever you do, do not lose those reservations!! They are so hard to come by. I would make DH go if you are going to have cancel!

You won't be charged for the person who does not show.

Here's how this works and why you got the answer you did....

In order to change a reservation via a computer system, the system needs to see duplicate space in order to update. Sounds funny, I know. But you are dealing with computer systems and it can't scratch out, 4 and write in 3 manually.

Since the time slot you wanted was sold out, the CM told you to keep the res for 4 so you wouldn't loose your reservation.

Show up sans one person. You will only be charged for those who show up.

No, you won't be charged. Last September my MIL, at the last minute, could not come on our WDW trip with us. We had ADRs at CRT and when we checked in I told them she would not be joining us and they said it was not problem. I would worry about it at all.

Thanks for the speedy replies. Don't worry, I wasn't going to cancel the ADR-yes, I would have made DH change his plans if we were going to be charged. Thanks for the explanation on how Disney's system works. The CM tried to explain but I kind of got lost when she was talking about how the reservation was put in as a 4tt she couldn't change it, but if it were a 4t she could. i just needed to know if we had to pay for the no show!
