Is the price difference between the two really worth it? We'll have a near 3 year old in our group that will want to meet the princesses, but $50/adult vs. $30 seems like a big increase for breakfast. What are your thoughts?

I've never eaten at either, but several friends have and they all recommend Akershus over Cinderella's Royal Table. One of these friends has been to WDW over 50 times so I trust her opinion. You get more princesses at Akershus, but not Cinderella, and I hear the food is better.

We went twice to Akershus breakfast with a nearly 4 year old last trip. We really loved it.

Yes it's not in THE castle but it is still decorated like a castle inside. Food was excellent - fresh buffet with bagels, salmon, fruit then a plate brought family style - think we had thirds of the potato casserole!

We saw aurora, cinderella, ariel, snow white at Akershus aswell as the photo with Belle.

We did CRT lunch. Yes it was nice to be in the castle but the food was terrible and the princess interaction more rushed it seemed. We saw belle blue dress, jasmine, aurora, snow white aswell as the photo with cinderella.

CRT does have the wishing ceremony which was cute - all the girls are given a plastic star and wand but it is over in a couple of minutes.

Akershus is a must do for our next trip (my husband really liked the food) and we are trying CRT breakfast.

We have done both, and will do so again during our upcoming trip. We like CRT after a morning visit to BBB and Norway to start of our day at Epcot before the park opens. I think that you will be happy at either one.

That being said, if I could only do one I think that we would pick Norway. It just seemed a bit less rushed and had a better variety of food.

As for the price difference, keep in mind that at CRT you will be receiving a photo package with your meal, we actually got 2 bacuase we are a party of 5, and that the gratuity is included. At Norway you will have to pay for the photos with Belle (or the spotlighted princess for the meal)if you want them and will have to factor in the tip. Not enough to make up the total price difference, but something to think about.

Have a wonderful trip!

We went to the Princess Breakfast at Epcot in December and the photo package was included in the price.

We love it there. It is a must do for us considering we have two young girls! I'd go there even if it was just me and DH though because we both enjoy it. I love the potato casserole they serve.

Can't comment on CRT. We've never gone there. I can't justify the cost for just eating in the castle. Don't get me wrong, we love the castle, but that's a lot of money for the food they serve. We can spend a lot more time with the princesses at their meet and greets than you get at the meals, but from what I understand, the princesses are much less rushed at Epcot than at CRT. My girls are rather shy, but the princesses really try to get them to talk to them. Great photo ops there without having to wait in lines at the parks.

Have a great trip!

We keep doing both on our trips, but every time, CRT suffers by comparison on food, princess interaction, and value. However, if you want to eat in the castle, you want to eat in the castle. Akershus always impresses me and although CRT doesn't disappoint me, it is just not as good.

We ate at Akershus for dinner and LOVED it. Honestly, I wouldn't pay $50 for breakfast, even on DxDP. I'd go to Akershus. Your dd will LOVE the princesses.

Has something changed since last year because this was absolutely not the case last July. For our party of 6 (including 2 children), we received a packet of pictures for each child, and it was included in the price of our meal.

From the Walt Disney World website:

Imaging Package

Guests at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall receive one professional Imaging Package per groups of up to 4 paying Guests, 2 packages for groups of 5 to 8 Guests, and 3 packages for groups of 9 to 12 Guests. Photo is taken with Belle upon arrival.

Even though there is nothing like eating in the castle, the food at Akershus is so much better. We love eating at Akerhsus, it is a must do each trip. Your DD will see Princesses at both, it just comes down to how set are you on seeing Cinderella. At Akershus you may or may not see her walking around the room (however we saw her there the last 2 times), but at CRT she is guaranteed. As for the food, the food at Akershus is so good and freshly prepared (absolutely love the Cheesy potatoes) while the breakfast we had at CRT last December was meh at best. But like I said we went more for the atmosphere than for the food. Now when we go in September we decided to upgrade our resort stay from a room only to a FD package and then upgraded that to DxDDP so we naturally said we had to go back to CRT, but this time we are trying dinner out before our MNSSHP. Good luck deciding :goodvibes

If she's never been to CRT, I'd definitely take her. It's a great experience. The food that we had there was fantastic! Have you thought about splitting up your party? Maybe you and her can have some one-on-one time there if you're worried about the expense for all of your party.

I have done both with my kids and I definitely enjoyed Akershus more. I loved the atmosphere....seemed more castle like than the other castle. That being said, we are only doing 1 princess dining this year and I picked the castle.... i mean it is cinderella's castle!! LOL but i do prefer akershus... why did I book CRT? I have no idea.. .maybe i feel the need for my kids to be in MK and cinderella's castle. Either way, your kid will love the princesses. we found both character interactions to be great.

We have never been to CRT but we did Akershus on our last trip and my DH is saying that he wants to go back on our next trip. DD and I went to BBB @ 8AM at the MK and then we got to do rope drop and ride a few rides and then we jumped on the monorail and met DH and DS @ akershus for a 10:30 breakfast. We saw Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and a pic with Belle. We had a great time and the food was very good. I would definatly recommend it.

I've wondered this too. We ate at dinner at CRT last spring and have an ADR for breakfast at CRT this August. I have given some thought to changing over to Akerhaus, but am not sure what we should do.

Does anyone know what the current/summer prices for breakfast are at CRT and Akerhaus? :confused3 I saw the prices listed on allears, but I wasn't sure how current are those prices.

I just cancelled CRT and booked Akershus for breakfast. I like the atmosphere at Akershus as much as CRT. But we're on the DxDP and even though we have the credits, I'd rather only use 1 for Akershus instead of 2 at CRT.

Plus I'm looking forward to getting into Epcot early and starting the day with the Princesses. Both times I've dined at Akershus (2009 and 2006) Cinderella was there. :)

Well I was able to book at Askerhus for first thing in the morning, before the park opens. I'm really excited. It is actually my friend's DD (I have a son who will be 2), and we're staying at the BCV so we can walk over in the morning which will be great.
