CRT Lunch Questions

The BOG lunch menu thread got me thinking - what is the best CRT lunch entree? I know you go for the experience, not the food, but still curious. In looking at the menu I'm personally torn between the braised short rib and pork tenderloin (though I hate mushrooms, which are with the pork, so that may make my decision for me).

Another question - how likely are they to combine two parties? I am guessing not at all. I need 8 together, and have a reservation for 6 and a reservation for 4 twenty minutes apart. I realize I'd be paying for the extra unused seats, which I hate to do (not due to cost, but due to someone else missing out). I wouldn't be opposed to a random party of two joining us so that they don't miss out, though I realize that would be hard to find and could be awkward for them, though we're (usually) lots of fun. I have plenty of time to find a table for two, so please don't flame me yet, as keeping seats from others is definitely not my intent.

You know that you have to pay full price for those 2 extra seats, right? It's not just a $10 per person cancellation fee.

If they're on the dining plan and they come with 2 less people, I dont believe they'll have to pay anything including a no show fee?

We are not on the dining plan and I realize we would have to pay full price for the two extra seats (or rather, we already have since it is pre-pay). It isn't ideal, but I am willing to do that if I don't have any other way to get the entire group in at roughly the same time. More than likely this is a once in a lifetime trip for four of those going and I want it to be as close to perfect as possible.

Wouldn't they still loose the 4 TS credits?

I could be wrong, but if argumentative sake I make a reservation for 4 and only show up with 3, I'm only using the table credits of the amount of guests that actually show (3)

You'd be refunded for the 2 no-shows. But you can also call now and change the reservation to 2 less to open up a potential spot and ask a CM if they can combine what you have. They might be able to.

I'm tempted to call to see about combining the reservation as it would be lovely for the entire group to sit together and I'd be thrilled to not have to pay for the extra two seats (which I know some people are saying would be refunded, but I wouldn't be counting on that or arguing with them if they didn't). However, I keep reading about how the CM's on the phone provide incorrect info, aren't helpful, etc. If I call and they say they can combine and update the # of people, don't I run the risk that they screw it up and I lose both reservations and none of our group can get in?
