I have reservations at our desired time, made 180 days out :cool1: , for 5 however, i had 1 party member back out of trip so now i only have 4 going. Will i be ok to show up with 4 instead of 5 or will i have to cancel and loose my reservation all together? :scared1:

I'm not sure about CRT, but I originally had reservations for 6 people at 8 different restaurants for our Feb. trip. 2 people are not going with us anymore, so I called to change our # to 4 and the CM told me the all of the tables seat 4-6, so changing would not be necessary. :confused3 It sounded kind of odd to me, b/c they could have opened up another 2 top. You may want to call and let them know, esp. since CRT requires a credit card to hold- they may charge you for that extra person.

thanks, i was told that going from even table to an odd table is easier then the othe way around. Has anyone ever gone with 1 less person, and did they charge you?

I would double check, when I made our CRT's they specifically told me that I would be charged for a no show. I would just call back and have them remove one from the original ressie. That should be easy.....

i did call but they said they need to cancel the reservation and there are no reservations left. I was thrilled when i got the reservation 180 days out, now i am going from 5 to 4 and they said it is a different table. any one else had this happen

CRT is one of the restaurants that will charge for a no show. I believe that it was $10 - $20 charged to the credit card that you gave when you booked your ressies. If I were you, I would keep calling back and trying to get new ressies.

When we went in Feb for breakfast, my sister had...stomach issues...and stayed behind in the room. We were a party of 6, so we became a party of 5. When I went to the podium, I let them know and they said it was fine. They did not charge me.

However, they may have done this to be nice, because I did say I was sorry I hadn't called, but she was feeling ill when she woke up and I really did not know ahead of time. :confused3

One thing you can try, possibly calling CRT and asking them directly. Explain the situation and that you tried to change the reservation from 5 to 4, but you would have lost it. They would probably know best what they generally do in that situation. :goodvibes

I hope you manage to keep your reservation AND are not charged! Good luck!

We are going to CRT for breakfast on 1/21 and had a reservation for 19 people (still can't believe that I somehow got that!). They charged my credit card in full for all 19 meals at the time of booking. Last week one of the kids broke his leg and so that family of 5 people is not going to be able to make it. I called Disney dining and they changed the reservation accordingly and gave me the $ amount that would be credited back to my card in 1-2 billing cycles. When I first made my resie, they told me that I had to cancel at least 24 hours prior to in order to be refunded. This will be the first time we have ever been able to get a reservation there and I am certainly no expert, but (as others have mentioned), I would definitely call back again and try to change the number of people without canceling it completely. That is just ridiculous!!!! Good Luck!

Officially they can charge you the no-show fee for those who don't show. But, I had two people bag out on me, dropping me from six to four, and they waived the charge with nary a word.

Try to change it (so that someone else can get in) but don't sweat the no-show fee.

We had breakfast reservations for 7 at CRT last February, only 4 of us made it that morning, and they did not charge us.

CRT doesn't just have a no-show charge, they require payment in full at booking (unless you are on the dining plan). You've already paid for this person to be there. Unless you cancel them you won't be able to get the money back.

Call dining and see if they will credit the payment card for the one person who won't be there.

If you're on the dining plan... I wouldn't let them cancel the reservation and rebook unless they tell you beforehand that they can accommodate your party at its new size for the time you want.

Yes, we are on the dining plan. i do keep calling to see if they have availablity for 4 instead of 5 but so far no go. I will keep checking especially the last week but i wondered if they had no availablity, i am not willing to give up the table because i have never been able to get breakfast with the princess at the CASTLE so i don't want to give it up ;) It will be our last day meal so we definetly won't have any extra TS credits to use up. Wish me luck! But if they only charge $10 for the 1 no show, i could live with that, just would rather keep the extra $10 if i don't have to!
