I need brainstorming help from fellow parents. We have a CRT dinner planned on our trip. My girls are just a few weeks shy of 3, so no BBB, but we will be buying princess dresses for them and some accessories. We have a merchandise credit, so likely they will be from the Disney Store in advance.

We were just picking out our dresses online, and my 4 year old boy asked to pick out something special too. We looked through the t shirts, but neither of us liked anything. He likes the Jake costume, but that seems a bit weird for CRT.

He is just as excited as his sisters about eating at the castle with the princesses. What can I do for him? His favorite princess is Snow White, but I know she may not appear at that meal. Not that it matters, as one of my DDs is dressing as Merida, who I know won't be there.

Thoughts?

I have seen many little boys dressed as princes. I would do a quick search for a prince charming costume or even since little sister is going as Merida maybe get him a kilt to match and let him be a prince from there.

Thanks! I looked at the Prince Charming costumes, but I just can't imagine him wearing long pants and long sleeves in September. He gets hot super easy. The kilt is a good idea.

He'd probably be happy with a Snow White t shirt, but finding one for a boy his size is a little hard. I guess I could have one made on etsy if I can find a design that isn't too feminine.

Does HE think Jake would be weird? Is he a fan of Jake...or pirates in general? If so, I would suggest going for it. Princesses and Pirates, a pretty common sight at CRT.

He is going to get a sword at CRT, so if you don't think he would want to be a pirate, you could just make a shirt (iron-on transfers and design your own if you want) with a royal looking crest and maybe even his name "Sir ___" and he could be a knight.

I just asked him and nope, he's fine with it. Leave it to mom to overcomplicate things. ;)

We are actually eating at CRT on a MNSSHP night, but not attending (6:40 ADR). I'm sure there will be all sorts on interesting costumes that night.

When we went to CRT DD was a princess and DS was a pirate. He got so much attention from the princesses that he didn't want to take the makeup off the next day!:rotfl2:

They really make a big deal over him!! Even if you don't do the Pirates League (which is completely worth it, btw), I am sure a Jake costume will get the same kind of attention!!

I'd let him get the Jake costume if that is what he wants. Or, you could consider a Disney hat or bag he might like too.

My son wasn't big into dressing up so he was happy with a Pirates of the Caribbean baseball cap he picked out.

Even though my daughter's outfit was well over $100, my son's cap was only about $20 and he didn't seem to notice or care about the price difference.

If you sew or know anyone who sews I bet you could make an outfit that resembles Prince charming with shorts and a t-shirt :)

My DH and DS went to pirates league before CRT. The princesses were very afraid of them! It was really fun.

I have seen "princess protection agency" shirts. That is sure to make the princesses swoon over your DS!!!
