I have an ADR for CRT for dinner before MVMCP on 12/04 but I am not sure I want to eat a big meal before going on alot of rides. There are also alot of different restaurants on the dining plan that I think I would enjoy more .(I am going solo)I am just wondering if the food is really good at dinner or do you just go for the ambiance of the castle?
Does anyone know if I could just go in and get the Slipper dessert to go?
Thank you!!!! :)

I went to Cinderella's for dinner and it was yummy!!! I had the Queen cut of prime rib w/mashed potatoes. I also had the Fantasyland sundae for dessert w/the chocolate of the side (I'm not a big chocolate fan). I had the orange bibbiti bobbiti brew (sorry if spelled wrong) with my dinner!!! It was soooo good and it comes w/a collectible mug that says Cinderella's royal throne. I hope you get to go there to eat. It's a great experience.

I really liked the food here. I had the Fillet with the wine glaze OH MY GOD it was good. I had the shrimp and mussels app. and really did NOT like the sauce stuff they put on it but wow were those some big shrimp. I also had the slipper dessert It was perfect. I had a smoothie to drink and it was just OK but I wanted the glass. DH had Caeser salad, King cut of prime rib and chocolate cake a la mode with a soda and didn't complain so I believe it was all good. He is willing to go back so I guess that says it all.

Oh yeah the castle is BEAUTIFUL inside.

I have been there twice - I got to watch Wishes from there once (very cool). I really liked the food and the service is great! It'd a good portion of food but it's a slower meal so you have time to digest and I didn't feel stuffed or sick when I left.

Eating in the castle is just too cool to pass up! You're in the castle!!!

Best meal DH and I had all week while we was there he got the King special and I got the filet. His King was good but admitted my filet was even better. The slipper dessert was nice can't say as I'd ever pay full price for it but on the free dining I wanted to try it.

We've had dinner at the castle twice, the most recent being this past summer. We go for everything; the food, the service, and the ambiance :) We have not been disappointed yet!

Both times I had the filet mignon and it's been excellent. DH gets the prime rib and he said that was very good, too. Our servers have always referred to us as the "King and Queen" and called our sons "the handsome princes". LOL They really stay in character, all through dinner, too. :) It's a lot of fun, the food is good, and we just love being the castle :flower:

P.S. We were not on the dining plan and absolutely did not mind paying full price for our meals :) I have pictures of our desserts from the castle on my web page, if you want to see them. Click on the link below, then scroll down a bit until you see the "Restaurants 2005" link. Enjoy! :sunny:

We went during our trip in August. We were NOT on the dining plan, but feel that it is worth it. We had a wonderful meal, food was excellent, service was excellent, atmosphere was excellent, etc. Hubby and I shared a slipper dessert and both kids had their own desserts. Very nice. We had an added bonus to our meal, a couple became engaged!! It was sooo romantic. We really enjoyed it.

My girls and I (9 & 11ys) are eating CRT dinner (1st time non-breakfast) before MVMCP. My older dd and I will probably share the Ahi tuna... is it good? Are the kid's chicken strips the typical breaded fried variety? (she only likes those...picky, picky kid) Can she get fries? How are the spring roll appetizers? Any pics of these?
We def. will want to share the slipper dessert! :Pinkbounc
Thanks!

:flower: ... thank you. I've seen many pix of food from many different sites. ALL of your were great! :flower:

We are thinking of CRT for dinner as well. (DS is not into the princess thing, he's 5) :earboy2: but, I think he'd love eating in the castle though.

Terry --- LOVED the pics!!! Thanks

OK I might be the minority here :guilty: while the food was VERY good the service was VERY poor. We did not have a late seating 7:00, but the staff was very haggard and short. The server bringing our food tried to put the dinner plates on top of our dirty appetizer plates instead of removing them. My husband spoke up and she sharply replied "The plates are hot what am I suppose to do!" It went downhill from there, no water refills, and just a very frantic atmosphere, not at all the relaxing one I had hoped for. I had been looking forward to this meal and as I said the food was great but their service staff is either very overworked or just not very happy. This could have been an off night and I realize that, but the service just lacked the usual Disney magic. princess:

I enjoyed the food. We were there for dinner last December. We were very lucky and got a seat by the windo overlooking Fantasyland. We also saw Peter Pan and Captin Hook when they had to run by to get from one side of the Castle Stage to the other during a show out front. It was so fun, Peter waved to everyone in the restaurant while he was running by, with Captin Hook in hot persuit!

The food was VERY good, we split a shrip cocktail (yum!), and I had the filet mignon and it was good, I forget what DFi had but he liked it (I would have remembered if he didn't).

I know the food for the Princess Breakfast gets so-so ratings, but their regular menu is quite good, I think. Plus, the Castle is just BEAUTIFUL, worth the price of the meal all on its own!

Sounds like DD would like that....what was it and how much did it cost? I spoke with someone who said the mashed potatoes were awful, did you like them?
We had lunch and breakfast at the Castle and loved both. We have ADRs for dinner this year, we want to try the slipper dessert.
