CRT dinner...is the food any good?

We were lucky enough to eat at CRT last August for breakfast. The girls loved the character interaction with ALL of the princesses.

This year, they want to go for dinner. I explained that only Cinderella is there and that they'll have their picture taken down stairs with her, but no one will be upstairs during dinner. I did book 1900 Park Fare for dinner the night prior, so they will get character interaction there.

My question is, Do you think I should keep CRT for dinner? I'm not worried about the 2TS because we'll be fine with our credits...I guess I'm kind of worried that they'll still be disappointed even though they "know" it'll be different.

Do you think that eating in the castle (for the 2nd time) and the food (does it look "special" when they plate it?) will be exciting?

What do you experienced folks think?

My DD and I ate dinner at CRT in March and loved it. As you know, Cindy is in the lobby for pictures; however, the Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla were upstairs at dinner. They came around to each table for pics and autographs just as the princess' do at lunch and breakfast. The food was wonderful. I would do CRT dinner again in a heartbeat!

So are you saying that at the CRT dinner there are no princesses going around to the tables??? I have booked this for our first night at WDW and my daughter would be disappointed if this is the case, I will have to switch but when we made the reservation I asked if this was a character dinner and they said yes.

Not only is the food god but the service is above and beyond even for Disney. DH ordered primerib, it came and was very good but after a bite or two DS needed to go to the bathroom and was there a while. When they got back DH"s meal was stone cold and they brought him another w/o even having been asked. Go! Enjoy!

Newfie........that's what I understand. The princess' are only guaranteed at the breakfast/lunch. It varies at dinner, but it is usually the Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla. You may want to try the Princess Breakfast at Norway. It's excellent also. The princess selection varies, but you won't see Cindy. We saw Belle (yellow ball gown), Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Snow White and Aurora. Good luck with your selection.
