I have reservation for CRT for dinner. I was wondering what to expect? also is it worht the 2 credit or should I pay out of pocket?

On the side there will be 6 of us, would be still be obligated to tips the 18% if the service are bad? the reason i'm asking is because 2 of my party are 2 years old twins. thank you

Yes you are obligated unless you discuss it with a manager if you feel there was a problem with the service. Having 2 year olds does not waive the gratuity requirement. All tipping discussions are contained to this thread on that specific topic. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2300858

Also - is that right - 6 in your party is the auto gratuity threshold? I couldn't remember if it was parties of 6 or 8, but I think you're right - it's 6. We are a family of 4, so don't normally run into that.

EDITED: I just remembered that the gratuity at CRT is built in to the pre-paid price you pay - so you wouldn't be paying a gratuity for those children anyway - because they're not being charged for the meal.

With regards to the DDP credits it kind of depends on what other resturants you plan to eat at and if they are dinners or lunches. My family and I worked out the costs to determine if it made sense to use 2 credits. Overall, for us, it works out better to use two credits to pay for CRT and pay out of pocket for a couple of the other resturants that are less expensive (primarily for lunches).

One note on CRT -- this is one of the few places that gratuities are included on the DDP.

In general, from a "value" standpoint, any 2 credit restaurant on basic DDP rates as average to poor, and CRT is on the lower end of that scale. On the other hand, it's still a lot better than going home with unused credits, and the included gratuity can be seen as a value boost, reducing OOP expense.

On DxDP, 2 credit meals make a lot more sense, as it helps you get through all of those credits, and the average cost per (TS) credit is lower, which makes for better value.

Not only is it included on the DDP, it's actually included in the price of the meal (I believe HDDR and SoA may be similar, not 100% sure though).

Just concurring with the above :).

In normal circumstances, yes, you'd be obligated for the 18% since your party size is 6 or more. (Yes, it counts the 2 youngin's) As mentioned though, CRT this is covered in the price, so that's nothing additional.

thank you for everyone input.. I dont mind paying out of pocket, but since the CRT rating for food is on the low end. I think I just will save those 2 credit for another 2 restaurant that worth eating?

What else do you recomend? I have akershus, 1900 park fare, coral reef, crystal palace, CRT, cape may cafe are already booked.
