Is it possible to go to Cinderella's castle for Dessert only?

DF and I have a dinner reservation there for our first night at WDW for 5:05, but we would like to see wishes from the castle so we thought maybe we would eat dinner somewhere else, and then just go to the castle and order dessert.

Do people do this?

My DS and I did this last year. WE had a dinner res but had ended up eating a late lunch. We both had dessert and DS had a really nice sunday with a choclate crown on top.
Infact I have been to disney many times and never even knew there was a rest in the castle until I found these boards.
Enjoy!

yes, me too. I've been there before an never knew there was a restrant in the castle. These boards are amazing aren't they!

Like elismom, we had dinner reservations at CRT one night, but because we had eaten a late lunch no one was ready for another meal. When we sat down, our server was extremely pleasant, and chatty and handed us the menus. We told him that because we were not ready for dinner we would just have dessert, and it was like a cold front swept through the restaurant.

From that point on his behavior bordered on rude - ignoring our table, speaking in short, clipped phrases, etc. Fortunately, I don't think the kids picked up on it, but my DH and I certainly did and the servers attitude really spoiled the experience for us. :(

Funny thing is, I worked as a waitress at a comedy club during college, so I KNOW how important tips are. I always overtip for good service, so he lost out on earning a decent tip for the short time we were there, if he would have just been polite.

Please understand that this was only our experience and I am in no way speaking for all of the servers at CRT, as I'm sure it is an honor to work there and they are all professionals. But we were certainly disappointed because we were made to feel like we didn't "belong" there if we weren't going to order a full dinner.

BTW, the desserts were wonderful!

I hope your experience is magical!!! ::yes::

are waitress was very nice I just told her that I was really tired, and not rlealy hungry. But my ds and I had heard so many nice things about the rest that we came anyway.
I to was also a waitress, so we did tip well.
