CRT--can you change party size? Help!

Was lucky enough to get someone else's cancelled PS for CRT today but the cancelled party size was 5; mine was only 3. The CM would not book the available space unless I had 5 people. So I reserved for 5.

Now what? SHould I try to find 2 others to join us (other DISers?) or can I call later and reduce our party size? Please help. I don't want to lose this PS.

I think you can just show up with three and the deposit will be credited to the entire bill.

I had something similar in that I made a PS for 2 and showed up by myself. The entire deposit was applied to my single bill.

Yes we did this in July...there was some question as to whether or not my husband and a friend of my daughters would be able to come on the trip. I made the reservation for 6 but only 4 of us were there. I did not call ... I just showed up with 4 and said when I checked in I said only 4 of us were able to come today. The CM didn't blink an eye. We were immediately seated at a table for 4 so they do have some flexibility there.

Hi - I just did it about 2 weeks ago. Our party size was 10 and I had to change it to 7. The nice CM put me on hold and got a supervisor. She wasn't able to do it herself without cancelling the PS all together and risking it being unavailable to redo it. Anyway- it worked out great and now I have a PS for 7 instead of 10.

This is good to know. My sister may or may not come on our trip in Feb. I'd like to do CRT, so when I make my PS (if I can get one that is) I'll make it for 3. I'm not so worried now that if she doesn't come, I can still show up with just 2.

I'm so glad I found this thread. Through partnering with another board member, I was able to grad a PS for CRT that she was cancelling. Her party size was 6 and mine is 4, so I had to book for 6. I asked if I could cancel the 6 later and rebook for 4 but the CM told me that wouldn't work. He said all their tables are set up for 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. So if I cancelled a 6 table, thats all that would be open.

Now, after reading this thread, it looks like I can just show up with 4. I was going to just cancel and do the Crystal Palace.

But still got 2 seats if anyone is interested. Dec 9 at 9:45.
