Have any of you adults out there been able to order the children's meal at the CRT breakfast? I haven't ever given it a lot of thought because I personally love the french toast there. Here's why I'm asking: My Mother will be coming on our annual trip this year and she isn't into dressed up french toast, or any of the other adult options. In short she's more of a bacon and eggs type of lady. :lmao:

I'm just wondering if they'll allow this, even though she is still paying the adult price.

Thoughts?

You all are da bomb! :disrocks:

Doesn't the traditional adult meal at Cinderella's Royal Table include eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes? I thought the French toast was just one dish on a large dish of food. What's the benefit of ordering the child's plate if you're paying the full price? You probably have a great reason for asking your question, but I am just a little confused! Sorry!

That said, I suspect the restaurant will be able to accommodate your mother. If she doesn't want French toast, she won't have French toast anywhere near her plate!

I agree disney will do just about anything you ask. They always accomodate reasonable request. If you mother only wants bacon and eggs i see no reason why they wouldnt bring her that. To be honest this vacation in September is the first time i will be going to breakfest at CRT so im not 100% on even how it works only ever been to lunch and dinner.

We ate there in November and my DH subbed the french toast sticks with no problems- in fact, he even had seconds.

We ate at CRT in Nov 09. IIRC, there were only 3 choices of Bfast entrees on the adult menu, the stuffed french toast (which was awesome), eggs w/ various Bfast meats (however, the eggs were to me, more like a quiche as they has onions, gr peppers, and something else in them), and then the healthy choice of something like yogurt and granola (not sure on this one exactly, lol)
Anyway, I did not realize that the eggs had onions in them so that was a problem for me since I didn't have any of my medication w/ me. I believe that I was able to get regular scrambled eggs in replacement. CRT is one of the best restaurants (IMO and IOE) to work w/ accommodations or special requests. We were eating dinner there one year and DD needed to leave the table (wasn't feeling well) for a bit. Upon return our server took my plate and brought me a completely fresh one. I did not ask for this. He asked if he could have my food reheated for me, and I said that would be wonderful if it wasn't too much trouble. Well he returned with a completely fresh plate advising that the chef stated that trying to reheat it would compromise the quality. I thought was exceptional service in my book!!!

We were giving bacon, eggs, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, granola, assorted breads (including the french toast). It all came out family style for us.

We were there the last week of January and the adult choices were puffed french toast or a veggie omlet  But since I am such a devoted Dis reader I knew I could ask for an adult sized version of the kids meal, so I did:thumbsup2 The server seemed annoyed but let me do it :rolleyes1 The dining experience of being in the castle was great, the food not so much  But of course we will go again next year but this time we're trying supper :woohoo:

That's great. It sounds like there's no problem picking and choosing. :thumbsup2

Yeah, they used to have a fairly universal breakfast option for the adults. Either you had the normal breakfast which I believe was eggs, cheesy potatoes, stuffed french toast with blueberry sauce, and bacon or eggs; or you had the healthy breakfast of yogurt and granola.

Now they have the healthy breakfast (which I believe is the same), stuffed french toast (a full plate full), or the veggie omlet of some sort. These still come out with family style fruit and breads like it always has.

Anyhow...thanks for sharing your experiences. I so appreciate it. :lovestruc

Yeah, I know that it is really silly to pay that price for a child's meal, but she just really isn't into the whole cream cheese in pastry thing. Ultimately, she just wants to go experience the castle with us, it would just be a shame for her to just sit there with no full belly to show for it. It's silly to me too since I think that the breakfast is actually quite good.

Cheers, and thanks for the help.

My Husband ordered off the kids menu he did not like the fancy french toast. Our waiter understood and let him do so.
