Crowne Plaza Universal

The BF and I just returned from a 5nt stay at the Crowne Plaza at Universal. We booked it using the 'Buy 3, Get 2 Free' Universal package. We also got the 2-day Meal Deal.

Overall I can tell you that the hotel staff was amazing (actually on par with Disney) although we likely won't return here based on a couple of room issues we experienced.

While I don't have time to do a full review just now (I may in the future) I wanted to post a note that I'm happy to answer any questions about the hotel, what's in the area, what's within walking distance, the hotel's shuttle service, etc.

Can you tell me how you got to Universal from the Crowne Plaza location? I didn't see "shuttle" on their amenities list.
We have reservations at the Holiday Inn at Universal Main Gate but I am thinking about switching to this Crowne Plaza. Both rooms cost me the same in Priority Club points, so I'd rather have the nicer of the two hotels.


C.P. is rated MUCH higher than H.I. on Trip Advisor so I'm very tempted to stay there but just wondering about getting to Universal. If we have to drive our rental to Universal, how much is parking?

The hotel does in fact have a shuttle service to all the area attractions, though times are limited. For example, for US/IOA there were only two morning departures and two evening returns. Only one of each for Sea World. If you call the hotel directly, they'll transfer you over to the ticket desk/valet stand who will be able to answer all of your questions. The staff at this hotel was EXCELLENT, so I wouldn't hesitate calling to get answers.
