crowds

we just made our reservations for the first week in November staying at SOG. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like and how the crowds are.
Also has anyone been there for Halloween? What is like?
I have a 7 and 10 year old that are worried about missing Halloween at home.

I can't vouch for the first week of November, but we have stayed previously in the time period between Nov 16th-24th in '98, which was right before the crowds started heading in for Thanksgiving.

The weather at that time was in the mid-80s with sunshine just about every day. If I recall correctly we had only one afternoon of rain the whole time. Needless to say the temps were a little higher than usual according to the locals.

The crowds were small. Had no trouble in getting into the park and getting on all the major rides with the longest wait being about 20-30 minutes.

This of course was before 9-11. Hopefully someone else can give you a more recent report.
