Hi All! Does anyone know how the crowds are Jan.1-4 or about there? I have always been to WDW in Jun-Aug., once on the 4th of July but never in the winter. Can someone let me know how the patterns work then? For the 4th it was "normal" summer crowds until the actuall day of the 4th. is it the same for NYE?
Thanks
Minnesota

I have never been at this time but I would think NYE and NYDay would be a little busier than the other days, however, my kids do not go back to school until 1/5/04 so if we WERE going at this time, as we plan to some years, WE would still be there during your trip. Anytime most kids are out of school is usually a pretty busy time. Hopefully someone else can answer you more specifically about you dates!

We were there during that time in 2002. Crowds got thinner as the days went by further from the 1st. The parks were crowded though, with MK being the most crowded, however they, were no where near as crowded as the few days before the 1st.

Hey, Minnesota, can't imagine why you'd be wanting out of this state in January! LOL

By the second week, the crowds are much lower, and service will depend on how much staffing they've left in place. And a lot has to do with where the holidays fall.

Enjoy a magical stay--January is a wonderful time to be at WDW!

We live in Maple Grove, MN and are heading to WDW on Feb 7th! When we cruised on the Magic in Jan we met a lot of Minnesotans escaping from the cold.

On occasion someone posts that WDW and the Bahamas are to cool in Jan/Feb. I would take a cold day in FL anyday over a MN winter day! LOL!!!
