:earsboy: How large will the crowds be during the evening on Christmas Eve? I just want to be prepared.

Think of the MK as a sardine can and you're one of the sardines.

Yes, it gets that crowded.

We did not find it crowded at all. Christmas Eve. was a perfect night. We watched the parade with hardly anyone around us. I mean huge gaps between people with nobody standing there. We were not on Main Street though. Christmas Day is when the crowds pour in. The UG online does not have the crowd level very high either. I think it was a 6 or 7. Nothing compared to the next day. We are planning on MK for Christmas Eve again this year.

We're doing MK on xmas eve too. But we are eating dinner at Wilderness Lodge. Hopefully it won't be to crazy. We are definitely avoiding MK on the 25th.

I am doing the same thing. MK on Christmas Eve and dinner at the Wilderness Lodge! Great minds think alike.

We too will be in the MK on Christmas eve. We are having dinner at the California Grill and then heading over to the park again for the fireworks and parades.
Like others we are avoiding the parks on Christmas day. I have a spa treatment booked at Saratoga Springs.

I think the crowds at MK just went up  :rotfl: . We also are going to be spending Christmas eve at the MK. We have done it before and it was not to bad. By about 9 PM the crowd starts to thin out

Add 5 more to the list - we'll be there as well with ADR's for dinner at LTT. We can hardly wait - see everyone there :cool1:

This just baffles my mind! We plan on being out of the park (MGM probably) by 6pm so we can get back "home" and get the kids in bed early for Santa's arrival. Then on Christmas Day, we plan on staying "home" so they can play with all their new goodies. IF, they want to go to a park later that afternoon, then we will try to get into one. If we do, we do, if we don't, we don't. I would think alot of families would want their kids in bed early on Christmas Eve and then let them play with their goodies on Christmas Day instead of ripping them away and taking them to a park. I guess we've been so many times now that it's not a big deal to my kids to miss 1 day at the parks (we'll be there for 10!). I also figure that most people say they are spending ALOT of money on their vacation so they will get the absolute most out of it.

Ummm...if this trip is like our previous four "family" WDW visits this year, I will be asleep long before the kids...despite staying out late on Christmas Eve. Not that this is any different than at home. All 3 of my children (ages almost 3, 5, and 13), are NIGHT owls, just like their dad. When we are at home over Christmas, I have to get up extra, extra early Christmas morning to set out the "Santa" gifts. Besides, Christmas for me is more about time with family than gifts. Considering the long hours dh and I work, I want to maximize my holiday time with family. :flower:

oooh oooh oohh

so jealous

with a touch of my finger I was booking trip this year for xmas with the family.

I almost did it all because hotel/airfare was so good but then...........
DH told me that major layoff was coming & he was possibly one that would go.
The non impulsive side of me discarded any ideas of going away. I just can't chance it.
SO I will be with all of you in SPIRIT>>>>>>

hope it is perfectly magical for all

happy happy holidays
