It has been a long time since I've been at WDW during the week after Christmas (27-3). What are the crowds like?

Crowds are normally HUGE through New Year's Eve. The week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest attendance week of the entire year. We normally arrive on Jan 1st or 2nd and crowds get lighter day by day. I expect this year to be pretty heavy right through the weekend of the 3rd and 4th. Most schools won't start back until January 5th with New Years Day falling on a Thursday.

On the good side, the parks have longer hours and the holiday decorations normally stay up through the first few days in January.

I've been three times during that week. Crowds are huge. Make sure you make dining reservations as soon as you are eligible to do so. Be sure you get to the parks before they open and utilize Fast Pass. If you do both of those you will still be able to ride rides. Otherwise you should enjoy the lovely decorations and be happy to be at WDW. (We found that they opened the parks earlier than the stated hours due to the big crowds.)

Will be the norm that week but with all the live shows and decorations it is still a magical time to be at WDW.::yes:: :wave2: :wizard:

We will be going there the same dates, imagine that.LOL
I am also concerned about the crowds, glad you asked it. But as my daughter said "NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP US!!"
Have a great trip:earsboy: :earsgirl:
