First off as all my posts of the last two weeks have started "Many prayers for FL residents"...as I struggle with the guilt I have about worrying about my vaction when so my people have lost so much and the next few days are so uncertain for many, we are forging ahead with our trip...we rescheduled from the week of 9/12 to the week of 9/19....We always go in Sept because we do not have any children so for us the fact school has started is a benefit and we never experience long lines or crowds....I am now concerned that everyone since the begining of Sept has rescheduled to this time (9/19-9/26).....and we will not be experiecing the crowds we try to avoid each year ............anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help, and wishing pixe dust for anyone in the path of Ivan the terrible...

How's the crowd during that time? Kindly compare to the 1st 2 weeks of December and Presiden't Week.

Leigh -- I am also concerned about this. We planned our 9/18 - 9/25 trip due to the low crowd attendance and now I am worried that it will be mobbed from people pushing their trips back due to the hurricanes.

DH and I are wondering the same thing. We leave on the 23rd and were excited about low crowds then. We are thinking two possibilities:
1. more people (those with early Sept. trips rescheduled for later in the month)
2. less people (hurricanes scare people off to reschedule even later - such as Oct. and Nov.)

what does everyone think??

I believe (maybe it's hope) that crowds should be about the same. I did see a few people post about pushing it back to this week but I felt that most of them pushed it to Oct/Nov.

I enjoy this time of year due to low crowds but I hope it is not less people. I was there September 13th 2001 and it was empty! Alot of things closed down totally or early (CR pool bar closed the 2nd day we were there- at one point we were the only family at the pool in the middle of the afternoon) At Epcot there were times were you only saw about 5-10 other people. At a character meal there were only 5/6 other tables at 7pm. It just didnt feel "disney" with no one around.

I am just going to pray this thing doesnt hit Florida (they have been through enough) and I am going to let myself and family be excited for our vacation.

Geomich -- I never thought of how weird it would be to be at Disney with so little crowds. You are right, having a good number of people in the parks (and at the hotels) is all part of the experience. Rest assured, there are many people planning to visit WDW the week of 9/19 (at least it appears from reading these boards). WIth all of this hurricane talk and doom and gloom, I almost forgot to get excited that we are leaving in 5 days!!!! YIPPIE!!! :earseek:
