Hey all,

DW works in a school so we always go during Presidents Week in February. This year, our youngest DD and I will be going down on the Wednesday before and DW and older DD will join us on Saturday. So, youngest DD and I will have a few days to ourselves, and I was just wondering if anyone knew what the crowds are like just before the holiday weekend. Thanks.

have been there that same week in '05 and '06 - and while i believe the word 'empty' might be subjective - i would say that the crowds were quite manageable/bearable. of course, the more popular attractions had their lines. i would say that those lines ranged from 30 mins for philarmagic to close to 60 mins for soarin' by late morning.

and remember - valentine's day is celebrated that week - so don't forget to schedule your adr for that day - we saw many folks shut out of epcot restaurants there this year.

For accurate crowd levels/projections try Touring Plans .you know what(will get edited out), very accurate IMO.

In '05, we were @ HRH/Universal w/fotl so my opinion may be biased;) ... Thursday was fine, Friday got busy & Sat., Sun, & Mon were slammed.

We started most days & Epcot, making the mistake to try the move to MK on Pres. Day afternoon (near gridlock)...suggest avoiding it.

We have gone to WDW on Pres week a couple times. We like to go down on Wed. and Thurs. This works really great. If you want to stay a couple nights at a non-DVC resort Wed. is usually the last day of value season. The crowds are light on Wed. and Thurs, getting moderately busy on Fri and more so that evening. We usually do MK the first day or two when it is relatively quiet and take a break on the weekend.
