Crowds the last couple Sundays?

We're going to be in LA this weekend and I'd love to go to Disneyland to see the Halloween decorations... but my boyfriend is really bummed out by huge crowds. It looks like all three hotels are sold out, so it sounds like a big crowd weekend to me.

Has anyone gone to Disneyland the last two Sundays? How was the crowd on the streets, and how long were the waits for rides?

Thanks for any info you can pass along. :)

I know we will be getting there on Sunday for our trip - many AZ schools are on Fall break - but I can't imagine too many of us Zonies flooding the park. I know there is also a huge teachers convention in UT that is bringing in a bunch of people - but not sure if they will be there still on Sunday. If you use fast pass for the rides - you will be ok - it would also be better if you could get there when the park opens - or later in the day and stay until close if you can...

We were in CA Oct 3-8th. We were in the parks on the 7th (Saturday) and it was much more crowded than I would have thought it to be that time of the year. Wait times for some rides were at an hour. We didn't go into the parks on Sunday (the 8th) but we were at the esplanade and in DTD. It appeared to be just as crowded as it had been on Saturday. The crowds were unexpected by Disney, from what I was told by a CM. Gay Days and the holiday weekend would have been contributing factors.

We usually hit the parks ever Sunday for a couple of hours and have found them to be a little more crowed that usual. We thought it might die down a bit after the 50th celebration, but haven’t noticed that as of yet. With that said I would not stay away because of that, the holiday decorations are really cool and use fast pass and make the best of it.

We went the Sunday before last--the 1st, and I thought it was pretty crowded. Probably because the Halloween decorations had just gone up.

i been there Almost every Friday, Every Saturday and Every Sunday... and the park is just gettin busier and busier... more ppl, longer lines, etc. 1 month ago, Space mountains line is like 10 min... now its like 30-40 min, which isnt THAT bad but its getting more and more crowded.

My boyfriend said we could go on Sunday... and just so we didn't feel obligated to stay if it was packed, I bought season passes! It's so funny how a Disney lover can turn "I don't know if I want to go..." into "You're right, let's get season passes so we can go now and then again later this year!"

Hooray! I'm going to Disneyland on Sunday! :Pinkbounc

That is great - have fun - I love it when things work out like that!!

I was at the park on Sun. Oct. 8th and it was really crowded. I went into the park, had lunch and was going to go on Haunted and Pirates, but decided to just leave the park and head home. I think one of the many reasons it was crowded that particular day was because of the the CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County) walk they had earlier in the morning. Disney hosts this event every year. It's only a 5k walk thru both parks, but a lot of people come out to support the hospital.

We were there sunday the 8th - thursday night the 12th and it was packed every day........
