Crowds right before christmas

My family is planning on going down to universal during the Christmas season on the 22nd and 23rd of this year and sea world on Christmas eve. My question is how packed is Universal/Islands of adventure during this time and should I get the express plus pass? Last time we visited was during July 4th weekend and the express plus was a godsend but I was wondering if it was necessary during the week before Christmas.

You usually can by w/o EPs before Christmas but not after. If you're going 12/22 and 12/23, you should be OK...it will be busy but not overly so. If you arrive and see the lines are too long for your tastes, you can always purchase the EP there.
