I was in the park Friday and Saturday (10/10-10/11) so I thought I'd give some info on the crowds since there seems to be a lot of speculation and interest around this topic...
Friday wasn't bad at all in my opinion. When we got there at 6pm here were some reads from the board:
Space: 45 min
Indy: 45 min
Pirates: 15 min
Matterhorn: 15 min
Haunted Mansion: 35 min
It got a little busier by 8pm... Space and Indy got up to an hour.
Saturday morning was wonderful. We got the following done in this order by 10:10am:
Indy: 8 min wait
Haunted: 5 min wait
BTMRR: no line, walked straight on
Space: 6 min wait
Buzz: no line, walked straight on
Star Tours: 12 min wait
Haunted: 8 min wait
BTMRR: 11 min wait
The crowds picked up later in the day and Indy got up to 70 min and space reached 60 min. The longest I saw Haunted get was 45 min but we only went on it 3 times so I'm not sure if that was the peak of the day. In DCA, the longest we saw Screamin get was 35 min and we waited 43 min for Toy Story. Downtown Disney was far more crowded than I'm used to seeing, which I thought made it more lively and enjoyable. The LEGO store was insanely busy.
Incidentally, we were quite fond of the little christmas shop just passed Club 33 before you get to the restrooms (next to the guy who does portraits). We made some purchases in there. We also found the fireworks to be quite enjoyable from the open area outside HISTA; they look cool with the Matterhorn in the foreground and viewing them in an uncrowded area was nice.
