We have been to WDW several times in off peak times(January, Oct, Early Feb and Dec) This is our first summer trip, we are going June 4-9, 2006. I am nervous about the heat and the crowds. I have heard early June is better for crowds than later June and July. Any advice or experiences to share?

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

Yes, early June is better than later in June or July. but it will definitely be more crowded than what you have experienced in the past.

You'll be arriving at the end of the Gay Days weekend, so crowds might be especially heavy on Sunday. Check gayday.com or gaydays.com for details on the parks that will be attended. Or search this board for "Gay Days."

As for the heat: well, it will be hot. I know early October can be hot too (not sure if you've been in early, mid, or late October).

Have fun!

Last year our holiday started on June 3rd for two weeks. It does get pretty busy as the day goes on. If you can get there first thing for opening though you can tend to get on at least 6 attractions with little wait. By the afternoon, rides such as snow white, peter pan, TOT, test track, mission space and all other headliners had waits of 45 mins. So thats the time to utilise fast pass. the swecond week in June was certainly hotter and bussier than the first. Saying all that we are going on June 10th this year so are expecting it to be busy. We didnt feel the gay days celebrations affected crowd levels all that much
