Crowds around July 4th?

Can you please tell me if crowds will be impossible July 2 - 3? The 4th is on a Wed. and these are the only days that fit into our schedule.

Also, how bad is the heat? I can see avg. temperatures for early July, but would like to hear some firsthand reports if possible.

We’ll be there July 3 – 7. Planning for it to be a mad house. I think it just depends on what day the holiday falls. The unofficial guide has the Forth of July as one of the most busiest days of the year. The days before and after look like regular summer busy. But still it’s around a holiday and like us, I think there’ll be many others who take a few extra days off to visit the mouse.

The 2nd & 3rd should be summer busy like the PP said & maybe a hair busier since the 4th falls right in the middle of the week this year, so anyone making the 4th a vacation week would probably be there Monday & Tuesday, also.

As for heat, it's generally not too bad & perfect to even cool in the evenings in a regular year, but this year was not normal. High heat & humidity over that 3-4 week period starting the end of June. Usually doesn't hit us until later in the summer if it does.

We were at WDW the last week of June & by all accounts, it was more humid in SoCal than it was in LBV...go figure!

The 4th of July isn't even that crowded until late afternoon/early evening. Everyone arrives for the fireworks.
