I had planned to go the last week of September, mostly because we've gone at this time before and it's not been too bad. However, circumstances have changed, and now it might be that we'd have to switch to the first week of October. I've never been there around then. Can anyone tell me if it's more/less/the same crowded than the last week of September? I know they're also having a marathon at DHS that week. Would that make the other parks less crowded because everyone's over there or more crowded because people come for that and stay to do the other parks? Any info is appreciated!

Well, a lot of schools in the Southeast states have Fall Break that week. That's why we are going. Food and wine will be going on at Epcot as well as Free Dining so that may make the parks busier. I know that when I do mock bookings for that week not a lot of availability is showing onsite.

The years we have gone this same week in the past haven't been too bad crowd-wise but I haven't been with the new FP+ so I don't know what effect that will have. I hope it's not too different as we go for rides and don't care about all the other stuff really so this will be a make or break trip for us.

For the fall break? Last year we overlapped last week of Sept and part of the first week of Oct. Septembers week was by far busier which shocked me. Nonetheless doing the same this year Sept 24-Oct 2.

As long as it's not near Columbus Day weekend (which is the middle of October), I would guess that both weeks would be about equally crowded. Maybe October just a little bit more crowded.
