I know, I know. This seems to be a hot topic. But I've got to ask anyway.

We are going to be at the park November 2-6. (Monday - Friday). Last year we were there Nov 17-21. We planned this years trip timeframe based on the fact that last year was empty until Friday afternoon. We were kind of hoping for the same this year, but the crowds seem so much higher this year. Why is that?

Of course I am going to tell myself the crowds will be high, and hope to be surprised. I guess I am looking for some opinions on that week. Halloween Time will be over, and Holiday stuff won't be going on yet, so do you think it will be nice and empty like we are hoping?

Thanks for any feedback :worship:

You should be fine. Halloween is bringing in a lot of people right now, but by the time you are there it will be done.

Jennifer, Thanks for asking about crowds. :thumbsup2

We will be there at the same time and were wondering the same thing.

We are hoping that it will not be crowded!!

The insane influx of AP holders (and not just S. Cal AP's either). It seems like DLR has done an incredible job of marketing in addition to making their parks affordable for local visitors and close-by out-of-state visitors. People want an escape from reality right now and Disneyland has made their escape extremely affordable. Add the ToT party, and HalloweenTime festivities and Fall Breaks from schools and the crowds will come.

If I were to predict a down-time of any kind in the parks through the end of the year, I would say it is the week you've chosen. Mid-week the parks should be as quiet as they will ever be this year. That's not saying they'll be empty as they have been in past years, because you have to take into consideration that there are tens of thousands more AP holders now than there have been in previous years.

If you want the parks to be REALLY empty, pray for rain! ;)

Praying for rain... that is what i am doing, since i will be there next week, and i am fearful of the crowds. I planned this thinking the crowds will be low. Next year, we will go in November, for my birthday.

This time last year was pretty empty. Very low crowds. We are counting down the days until the halloween crowds leave! It should be a great time to be there. I think we'll pop on over for 2-3 days that week.

Yippeeee! This is good news since we are going to be there Nov. 1-6! We were hoping for low crowds. We are arriving on Sun. afternoon and expect to get very little done. We will definitely pick up a couple of FP's for SMGG and then stake out a spot for the Halloween fireworks and hope they won't be canceled.

Then we will brave late afternoon/evening crowds on Fri. in order to stake out a spot for Fantasmic - DH and I saw it in July - but we didn't see the dragon. DS's have never seen it and DS 13 especially wants to.

We will enjoy the low crowds and short wait times during the rest of the week and enjoy Aladdin and Billy Hill and the Play Parade and try to see the Tiana thingy on Fri. morning before crowds really pick up!

11 days until we are in DL again! :woohoo:
