Ok. I have to chime in here because we are going over Easter 2011 and I am very nervous the crowd will be horrible. We are going April 20th to the 28th or 29th. Is Easter just automatically going to be more crowed because it is a holiday or can I expect that since most spring breaks are before Easter it might not be as bad? DS 7th birthday is April 23 and Easter April 24th. We are going as a birthday surprise.
Oh I guess I should mention that we normally get Easter vacation not spring breaks so our vacations are always over Easter no matter what day it is. We have so many snow days to make up that the Easter vacation is only Good Friday (22nd) and Monday(25th) off this year. At least I think they get Monday off. We are in PA.
My DD & I are also going Easter week April 25 - May 1. I am hoping that most spring breaks will be over by this time. This is the first time that she has had spring break so late in April.
Our school doesn't really get a spring break. typically they get off Thurs,Fri, and Monday of easter weekend off. But snow days have taken it away. So our "spring break" is only April 22.

Most everyone I know out our way New England has the week leading into Easter for spring break. We have not had it this late usually ours is the week before but this year with easter they all have break easter week.
I know lots of folks heading to Disney that week

I wanted to add maybe 2 or 3 years ago we went the week either leading into or after Easter. I did not know anything about the expected crowds and had never been on dis! we noticed a bigger crowd than when we went a few years before but we did most of what we wanted in the parks and it was all good!! I would still rather be there crowded than not!!
Disney treats the weeks before and after Easter as the peak weeks -- those are always the peak weeks for DVC points along with the week between Christmas and New Years. I think it's probably the same for hotel pricing.
We are going Apr 1-8th. According to this poll and another, I really think the next 3 weeks are going to be similar crowds. Really hoping to hear positive crowd reports back the next two weeks!
