Crowd prediction for Monday, 11/22

I also know that we will be there on that sunday for the National American Miss National pageant, a different age group of girls will be there on monday, tue, and wed, a couple hundred girls and their familys.

Thanks for this...was hoping to beat a bit of the crowds by going on Monday but maybe not. I wonder how many of the local schools are out all week?

We were there last year on that Monday. It was pretty crazy busy. We went first thing in the morning and collected fastpasses. Went back to the hotel for a break, things were really crowded by about 1 pm, then we went back later that night and used our fastpasses, saw the night entertainment, etc... We had a 1 and 3 year old with us and we managed fine. Just get there early!

In 2007 we went to DL the fri-mon before thanksgiving. The fri and sat were fine but by sunday we were ready to go home. It was so crowded we could barely drive the stroller thru the mobs of people.
By Monday I had to give up on the stroller and made my 3 yr old walk as I couldn't maneuver thru the people anymore.

It's fun but I would go during the week in december..oh wait! I am

Thanks! Thought I would be better the Mon. before thanksgiving, but maybe I should just go on the weekend before- that would be this weekend! At least we could drag dad along!

My friend is at DL right now with her family.
She said it was a bit crowded on Sunday but much better now that it's a weekday. She is coming home on Friday to avoid the mad rush of people.

I expect it may be more crowded than last year as more local school districts have the whole week off due to furlough days. We've never had the week off before, but we do this year. If you can't go another week, then just be prepared for crowds and I'm sure you'll still have a great time.

But everyone will be going back to school the following week right? We'll be there the following Mon-Thurs and I'm really hoping for light crowds.

Yes, the week after Thanksgiving should be great. Kids will be back in school. There *may* be some year-round districts that have that week off, but the impact should be minimal. I would expect the week after Thanksgiving to be much like THIS week -- we were there yesterday and the crowds were light.
