Since we have never been this week I was wondering what to expect crowd level wise the week of Halloween? We will be there from Oct. 28-Nov. 4. I believe the following week is Jersey week so I wasn't sure if the holiday would up the crowds that week or not.

We were at WDW last year Oct 28 - 31 and were surprised how low the crowds were. A lot less people than when we usually go in May. I don't think we waited more than 15 mins for any rides.

We went last Oct. Oct. 29th-Nov. 4th and the crowds were very managable. WE didn't wait long for any rides.

The last of October is our favorite time to visit WDW. MK seems to be made for Halloween. If possible, avoid the 31st MNSSHP--it can be relatively crowded. The weather is normally great--not too hot nor cold. Whatever crowds you may find will manageable--go early to hit the most popular stuff, then use fastpasses. Often, too, rides are practically walk-on, so you may not even need fastpases that often. That's a great time to go.

Enjoy!

I too will be at WDW during Oct 28-Nov 4 this year. I picked that week after viewing touringplans.com they recommend a 4-5 crowd level during that time. We will NOT be at the Magic Kingdom on Oct 31 because of the crowd. I can't wait!!

We went the last week of October last year and were in the world during Halloween. On Halloween, the crowds were heavier, but still very manageable.

We will also be at WDW Oct. 28- Nov. 4. We went the same week in 2002 and the crowds were very managable. Saturdays were a lot busier but a CM told us a lot of locals drive in for the day on Saturdays. We walked right on to quite a few rides. The average wait was about 10 minutes. The only long line was at Space Mountain and that was about 25 minutes.

I wouldn't avoid the park on Halloween. I didn't find it to be any worse than the other days and much less crowded than Saturdays. If you plan to attend the MNSSHP, most likely any party that week will be a sell out, so the crowd size won't be any different that night. The MNSSHP crowd was heavier than it was during the day time. Judging by the crowd at the resort pool, I think a lot of people relaxed during the day and hit the party at night.

No matter what, the crowds in Oct are much smaller than during the summer. You will have a great time :)

Thanks for all the help. I am confident that it will be a good week to go. Of course you never know until you are there.

I'm going then, too. Can't wait! It's going to be low, low crowds. :)

We will be there too! Oct 28-Nov 5. Can't wait. We went the same week back in 2000 and the crowds were very manageable. Most wait times were like 10 minutes.

See you there.

I will be there as well with my two kids and it will be my sons first trip! :cheer2:
I am however going to MNSSHP on Oct. 31 hope DS (3) and DD (5) can handle the crowds. I am just worried about long lines. I know my son will make me hold him in line and I just hope my back holds out .

We will be there too! :cool1: See ya there and I hope crowds are low as they should be! We are so excited!!

We are going to the party on the 31st, so plan on swimming and lounging that day and not going to a park.

Everything was pretty much a walk on, it's a great time of year to go low crowds, and it was just warm enough for us to try out Crush N Gusher for the first time. :stir:

We (Me and Ilovestitch) have tickets for the MNSSHP on 27th or 28th, then it's off to the Magic for a 4 day Cruise. pirate:
