Crowd Level for 8/25-8/28?

Hi DL Veterans, I was wondering what would the crowd level will be like for the date i'm travel? Also I wont get to LA until 9 AM do you still recommend hitting one of the park or just skip it and go to the beach instead? thanks

I am in the same boat, driving up from Oxnard on the 25th, but I want a little sleep in. DL is open till midnight that night so I will still use a day on my pass even If I don't get in till 3 pm or so.

do you think it will more crowded since it the last weekend before school is in session?

Those are my dates exactly too

The lines will have a chance to start lengthening and many of the FPs will be gone but I don't think the whole day will be ruined if you're inclined to go. I am too excited to not go the first day, and even though I stand in lines a little longer than I do later on it never feels bad since I've just arrived and am fresh, plus the fireworks and shows go off no matter what time you arrived ^^
