We were up at 7:30 this morning after a much calmer night. We had already arrived in Gibraltar so after breakfast I stopped to take some photos.

We got our things together and went ashore around 8:30, choosing to make the 20 minute walk into the city centre rather than taking a taxi or the shuttle. We walked up as far as the pub where we used to have 'wobbly coffees' when we were here before and, after arranging to meet back there at 11:00, Dad and I went our separate ways.

First of all I walked up to the cable car station hoping I might find some free wifi there.

The best I could get was a weak signal from a nearby hotel so I wandered back to the city centre but it seemed that although every bar had wifi they were all secured, even Burger King. In the end I managed to find a weak open signal on one of the street corners but it was enough to download my emails.

At 11:00 I met Dad back at the Angry Friar where I had a Pepsi and Dad had a Carribean wobbly coffee.

Continued in next post

After our drinks I showed Dad a diamond ring I had been looking at that I thought was reasonably priced and would have bought for Gemma if I had known her size then we went our separate ways again.

The lecturer on board the ship had said that they had recently built an underpass to carry the main road under the runway for Gibraltar airport so I wandered over there to have a look but there was no sign of it and the main road still crosses the runway.

I did see that they have built a new terminal though.

As I walked back the road was closed because a plane was taking off.

I strolled back to the ship and was back on board at 12:45, making sure my card was swiped this time!!!

I typed up my trip report and then went upstairs for a drink where I met up with Dad. We sat up on deck 9 for a while and then I went off for a walk. I wandered around for a while and then at 2:30 went back up to Pluto's Dog House to get some chicken strips and fries. Once I had eaten I sat watching the world go by for a while and then went back to the cabin to relax for a while.

At 6:00 we went down for the show, tonight it was Disney Dreams, which was really good but as we were watching it I realised something - I don't think I have ever seen so many guests coming and going during shows as I did on this cruise, can these people not sit still for 5 minutes!?!?

After the show it was back up to get ready for dinner, which tonight was our final night in Parrot Cay. We both had tapas followed by spicy tomato soup, then Dad had chicken and I had steak. For dessert I had flourless chocolate cake and Dad had apple tart.

After dinner I took a photo of the sunset.

Then it was in to the Promenade Lounge for drinks and bed by 10:30 ready for our last full day on the Magic tomorrow, which would be another sea day.

Day 15 - At Sea

I fancy a wobbly coffee, sounds good to me. I am always amazed that people's can be so rude as to disturb others viewing enjoyment by getting up and down at shows, just not necessary at all.
