Cross-stitchers...HELP ME please! UPDATED!

I'm doing a cross-stitch from a company called Bucilla. I made an oops and ran out of a thread color. It's not a standard DMC color because the number is 2691(Grey). Is there a way to find out what DMC color is the same??? I have NONE of it left so I can't even try to match it at the store.

I checked the DMC website and all of it's converters but no 2691!

HELP please!

I had the same problem - if you can wait for it - e-mail Bucilla and they will mail you some more of the colour you need.

I'm afraid I may be about to have the same problem with a Candemar design. I'm hoping I can stretch what's left to finish that section since this is supposed to be a Christmas present, but if not, then oh well.

I have had luck emailing designers/companies and asking them for support when I either didn't have enough floss or couldn't read the pattern, so hopefully that would help, too.
