Crocs, The Unofficial Disney "Shoe" May Be Bad Choice

A podiatrist at my workplace (I am in healthcare) nearly has a stroke everytime he sees someone wearing them. He says he has had several people show up with problems from these things (I did point out that it was income to him so maybe he should not complain about people wearing them LOL!)

I have broken both feet several times due to health reasons + poor shoe choices, and my podiatrist says the same about Crocs and Uggs! She said that her practice has seen a dramatic rise in younger female patients since Uggs exploded in popularity. I learned the very hard way by wearing too-flat flats, Uggs and high heels and now Birkenstocks are my best friends. Once broken in they're great for me for the parks! Lots of support while still being open and stylish in the heat, such as the Gizeh sandal. I'm happy they're apparently making a comeback - Barneys has some exclusive ones!

I can tell you this, I wore Dansko's last trip (a shoe designed and highly preferred by Podiatrists) and my feet were MISERABLE! Never again. I could barely make it out of the park and it was just a half day. First day too, so I didn't even go in with tired feet.
So I take their advice on what not to wear with the same grain of salt as I do what to wear.
