They will be 4 and 2 at the time of our trip. I see alot of recommendations for Crocs. Do you wear them with socks I assume? Would these be a good choice for my two DD's? :confused3 I know they are very popular but up until reading this board...I didn't realize the orthotic advantages to them. I just thought they were ugly fad shoes. Sorry...no offense. If they work...I will by myself some as well.

You can wear them with or without socks - in warm weather, I'd say without. My DDs (2 and 4) both have them, and absolutely love them! DD 2's are actually the payless imitations (Airwalks) because they don't make Crocs small enough to fit her. They both wore them all over WDW back in October (as did I) and never complained about their feet being uncomfortable. Another thing I like about them is that there are many fountains & such for the kids to play in at WDW. A change of clothes for the girls does not take up much room in the backpack, but having to bring extra shoes would be a hassle. With the crocs, if they get wet, just wipe them dry & you're good to go!

Nope - they are cut wide, so they do not really rub on your foot at any place - even the back strap does not always site flush against your heel, and yet they stay on fine. Somehow they mold to your foot shape after wearing them for a while. The only difficulty I have had is trying to explain to my 2 year old why she cannot wear them outside in the middle of the winter - they are absolutely her favorite shoes! She wears them around the house all the time.

:rotfl: MY DD's, 5 & 3, love them as well. They do not understand why they can't wear them outside right now. All I see are Crocs in the house! They can't wait until WDW so they can wear them outside. I think they would sleep in them if they could! :lmao: 15 more sleeps!

All of us have crocs in our house. The DH and DS included. We wear socks with them during the winter and "barefoot" in the summer. My DD6 has two pair, and she loves them.

For an EARLY Easter present (We'll be at WDW at easter), DMIL/grandma bought her Disney crocs. She LOVES them! They are pink with a white strap.

DIck's sporting goods is having a sale online, if you use DSP20SAVE code and sign up for google checkout, you can get them for less than $15. I paid $29.99 when I got them for my DDs for xmas!

One quick note on wearing with socks -- which I've done, too. If your socks get wet, you will get blisters from wearing your crocs -- nope don't know why. I found that when I went and it rained that it was best to just remove the socks (or change to dry ones).

And, yes, they are ugly and faddish, but they work. I SWEAR by them now. :hippie:

my daughters lived in theirs over the summer. I bought my 2yo the mickey ones for xmas. She had foot surgery last year and wears them year round.

I just ordered my 7yo and 1yo the mickey ones from dicks sporting good for 13.99.

My kids love their Crocs.

However, at WDW, DD5 insisted on wearing her Converse sneakers instead of her Crocs.

I went to the Dick's website to use the code for20%, but how do you sign up for the Google checkout?

I bought my girls Crocs at Disney in a gift shop. I think they were around 25 dollars. They were blue and green with little Mickey heads cut out. She loves them.

Once you put the shoes in your basket and you start the checkout process, there's a spot that you have the option to try google checkout. Click on that and it will ask you for some info.

I got introduced to airwalks on this board and noticed my MIL had them, so I bought some for our Disney trip in 2005, I've been wearing them ever since.

Yesterday my 2 and 4 year old wanted on matching sneakers, it dawned on me I hadn't tied shoes for them in I am not sure! They each have two pairs. My husband loves them. I love them, they save so much time and are so convenient!

They are also great for being pregnant when your feet swell!!!!!!!!!

BTW I wear mine year round. Summer-no socks, winter-socks-even in the snow in Maine!!(to and from the car)

My DD8, DD5, DD2 all three have crocs. I thought about having them wear them to WDW in two weeks when we go, but I am a little concerned about them falling off while on the rides since they do fit a little looser than regular shoes.:confused3 Anybody have any problems with this? We won't be riding any "big" rides, just dumbo, magic carpet, MA of Winnie Pooh and that sort of thing. Thanks for any tips!!

My 5 year old DD got her first Crocs last year and wore them during our entire trip to WDW. For some reason my DD needs to wear little tennis socks with hers or she gets blisters. I also wore my Crocs on the trip and I don't get blisters if I don't wear them with socks.

I bought a pair of "fake" crocs (I don't remember where, might have been WalMart) and to me they are not that comfy. Are the real crocs better or made differently? Anybody else have this problem? I have read so many positive things about crocs and how wonderful they are. I guess I am hoping somebody can confirm that yes, crocs will be better than my cheapy imitations.

Well, I recently broke down and bought crocs. They are great and comfortable. The walmart crocitations are not made of the same material, it isn't as pliable as the real crocs.

I have never used crocs, but the kids airwalks at Payless(size 5 ladies, so I can go with kids) They are very comfortable!! I then later saw Walmart come out with them in the Spring of 2006. They had prettier colors for less, so I got all excited....until I tried them on. They were horrible!!! They were like a hard plastic. My airwalks are a soft, spongy cushion. I love them. I must say I got a differant style pair in the ladies 5, and they are not quite as comfortable, but don't compare to Walmarts! So I am wondering if it is the differant style or wondering if they make the kids and adults differant? You'll have to try them on if you have a Payless in your area. They go for $14.99 for adults I think and $12.99 for childrens. They also have buy one get one half price sales!
