I have heard discussion that there is a difference between CRO and WDW Travel (with regards to rates, cancel policies etc) Is there different phone numbers for them and if so, which is better to call regarding room only reservations. We have APs so we don't need tickets. Thank-you for any help with this.

Wdw travel has much stricter cancellation policies and also makes you pay off your balance 45 days prior to arrival so if you have a choice I would definitely book with CRO. They made those of us who booked with the DC use WDW travel so I didn't have a choice if I wanted to get my DC discount. But with an AP you shouldn't have problems. The 800# is WDW travel. Cro is 407-W-Disney. I hope this helps and happy planning!

My understanding of the differences between the two is that cro is mainly for resort ressies and the other is for disney package deals... I could be wrong, but that was how I understood it.. On the packages, etc that you book thru disney travel you have to pay a $200 deposit and pay within 45 days of your arrival date.. with CRO you pay one nights deposit and then pay the balance of your resort by arrival.. But then you have to purchase the extras yourself such as park tickets, etc...

Hope I am right...??

I think you may have it backwards...I called 1 407 W-Disney and had to pay $200 deposit and I had to pay the rest of my balance a little less than 2 months before arrival

I noticed at the 407 # you can get both. I don't know how, but I called last year and was told I could do which ever one I wanted now, but in the future it may all be done with the bigger deposit and pay off before you arrive.

I had to book through WDW Travel to get the DC discount too. I had to pay a $200 deposit and was told the balance had to be paid 21 days prior to arrival. I'm confused as to why some are told 21 days and others are told 45 days. Does anyone know about this?

Thanks - Kathy

I wish I knew. I had to put down a $100 deposit for ressies in Oct. All remaining money is due 21 days prior to arrival. This is just for ressies, no tickets yet. The ressies are at WL and if anyone knows of discounts for rooms at that time I am open to suggesstions.Do they have upsells or insider rates for mid Oct? Right now I will be paying WAY too much but Have reserved them just in case I can't find anything better between here and there.
