Got up around 7:30am and went for 8:15am breakfast in our hotel at Beaver Creek Tavern. There was quite a long queue, but it moved fairly quickly and within 15 mins we were shown to a table. The continental buffet breakfast was very good. After breakfast we went back to our room for a while before leaving the hotel and headed for WDS. We watched the 11am showing of Cinemagique - this was the first time we had ever seen it and we all thought it was great (l wish we'd had the time to go see it again this trip - it's a must for our next trip). We then left WDS and made our way over to Salon Mickey to meet our friend Hazel & her family.
We left Salon Mickey at 12 o'clock. DH, Louise, Hazel & Alice walked to Space Mountain2. DH, Louise & Alice went on it. l took DS John in the pushchair to City Hall to book for guided tour in English at 1pm. (cost 12 Euros adult with shareholders discount (15 euros excl. discount), children free). I then headed over to SM2 and met Hazel in front of it and waited for the others to come off the ride - the 3 of them seemed to enjoy it. It was the first time Louise had ever been on it, as last year she wasn't quite tall enough, so she was really pleased that she was able to go on it this year .
After spending some time looking round Discoveryland it was time for our guided tour of Disneyland Park. We said bye to DH & DS John. DH said they were going to get on the Disneyland Railroad at Discoveryland Station and do a trip round the park on it, as DS usually does really like trains. Later DH told me when it stopped at Main St. Station DS decided he wanted off and said "that's enough"
So they got off there and had a wander at that end of Main St and watched the Character Express train come down Main St. and met some characters before going back to Sequoia Lodge. Maybe DS had decided that his time at DLRP could be better spent than sitting on the train.
Hazel, Alice, Louise & l walked to City Hall and met Nathalie, our tour guide (who l think was French, but spoke excellent English). There was only 2 other people doing the tour (a lady & her son). The tour lasted the 2 hours 1pm - 3pm and was very interesting, We started at the Main St side of the DLH, worked our way up Main St and if l've remembered our route correctly went through Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland then Discoveryland. It was lovely having the time to stop and look and learn about things in the park that l had never noticed before. At the end of the tour we were given a pin badge each for doing the tour and our guide said if we wanted to watch the parade there were benches reserved where the parade starts near It's A Small World for people who had done the guided tour, about 15 mins or so before the parade started we just had to give our names to the CM there & say we had been on the guided tour.

By the time the tour had finished at 3pm Louise & l were quite hungry so we walked to Casey's Corner for a hotdog to carryout. We just ordered & paid for one large hotdog and a drink, left Casey's Corner and headed over to where the parade was to start and where we had arranged to meet Hazel & family. On the way over l opened the bag to get the hotdog out and there were 3 hothogs in there
oh well, it was too near the time of the parade starting at 4pm to go back over to Casey's Corner again so l just shared them out between us - very nice they were too.
Louise, Alice & l went and sat at the reserved benches to watch the parade. Hazel & her DH (Andy) went over to Fantasia Gelati to queue for ice-cream with the intention of bringing it over to where we were seated, but Hazel said the service was so slow that the parade had started and they were still waiting. So Louise, Alice & l watched the parade from the reserved benches while Hazel, Andy & their DS were over near Fantasia Gelati. The parade was really lovely and it was great having a good view and a seat too.
After the parade Andy got Alice & Louise ice-creams and we headed over to POTC. As arranged I met up again with my DH & DS John there. We all went on POTC (2nd time for us this trip, first time was the previous evening after the meal at the Blue Lagoon, somehow we didn't have enough time for a 3rd go on it this trip - but there's always next trip to look forward to).
We all then walked over through Fantasyland before heading over to Central Plaza to watch Candleabration. IMHO Candleabration was nice to watch but the lighting of the candles part wasn't effective as early as 6pm in the evening, it would be much better at 9pm or preferably later. After that we all walked down Main St. to DLH for our dinner reservation at Inventions, which was a character buffet. The food was lovely and the character interaction was great too - lots of photo opportunities.
DH & DS John went back to Sequoia Lodge after Inventions. Louise, l & some friends including, Hazel & Angela & their families went to the DLH Fantasia Bar. Louise & l went to the shop in the DLH too.
I can't remember what time we left the DLH (memory lapse due to exhaustion l think rather than alcohol consumption
). Louise & l went to Disney Village - we must have been buying something, l can't remember now - before getting the bus back to Sequoia Lodge, it's not far to walk through Disney Village to SL but we were so tired after such a long day we preferred to wait on the bus. My DH & DS were sleeping soundly when Louise & l got back to our hotel room at 11:20pm, we were both totally exhausted but having had a great day. Thanks goodness l've got the photos to show l was on this trip as sometimes now it feels like it really was a dream.
