I got up before DH, DD & DS and said to DH l was going out a walk (he didn't want to get up yet). I walked by Fantasia Gardens - it was lovely and quiet with hardly anyone about, just gardeners tending to the flower beds & trimming the Dumbo topiary in front of the DLH. Since it was raining I decided to get a bus to the Newport Bay Hotel and have a look round as l had never been to it before. It's a lovely hotel both inside & out, although l noticed on the way out the queue for breakfast seemed very long indeed - it started in the lobby & went all the way down the stairs then into the two restaurants, l wonder how long on average people have to wait when it's like that? I then walked by Lake Disney & along to the Hotel New York - really like the theming.
Walked through Disney Village & did a bit of shopping. Arrived back at our room & got everyone up - it was going to be another late breakfast - California Grill again - food was lovely. DD particularly liked the pancakes & maple syrup. DS didn't want to eat anything, he didn't seem very welll & went very pale. We all went back to the room with him & he was sick. I thought l'd be staying in the room with him for the rest of the day, but thankfully after an hour or so he seemed a lot better and we decided to go to WDS (DS was wanting to see Lightning McQueen & Mater). Somehow it turned out we managed to see more attractions than on the previous day, but by the time we got to WDS DS had fallen asleep in his pushchair, so first we went to Art of Animation which Louise really enjoyed, DS woke up. We went to Cars Race Rally then saw some characters including Mickey & Mrs Incredible in the Toon Town area.
DS (a lot better by now) saw the Flying Carpets ride (which he loves), so we went on that - there was practically no queue.
Next Louise tried the Monster's Inc. scream machine & DS got his picture taken next to the eye character (can't remember the name) from the same film.
We watched the Disney Cinema parade (saw it on Sunday too) then went to the Stitch Live show - at the time we went that showing was in French, but DS & DD really enjoyed it all the same. We came out of there & DS was saying he was hungry so we went to Rendezvous des Stars for lunch, where it's got some theming from the film Ratatouille. The food was buffet style - there was a wide choice (incl. ratatouille of course ) and was very nice. DS had some penne pasta without any sauce & really liked it. There was a jazz band playing for a while when we were there, they were good to listen to.
After lunch we went to the Narnia chair.
DH then took DS back to the hotel to Minnie's playroom while Louise & l went to the WDS Studio One shop. She was wanting Mickey baseball boots that she had spotted before - got them & headed back to the hotel.
Later we all went to the hotel pool (DS was fine again by now).
Originally we had been thinking of going to Annette's for dinner (we really liked it there on a previous trip), but after lunch at Rendezvous des Stars none of us were very hungry, so we finished our day off by having sandwiches, cookies & hot chocolate in Cafe Fantasia at the hotel.
