We're traveling the first ten days of December (Actually 11/30 to 12/9) and planning to take the Saturday that we're there off from the parks to visit some of the resorts for decorations, etc. We're staying at POP and not renting a car so dependent on Disney transportation. Here's what I'm thinking for our day:

- Walk across the bridge for breakfast at AoA food court, let the kids explore a bit of the oversize icons at that resort.
- Catch a bus from AoA to MK. Walk/monorail/boat to CR then to GF. Monorail to MK and boat to WL. Catch CS lunch at one of these resorts.
- Bus from WL to HS and then boat to YC/BC. Dinner res at Cape May.
- Boat over to BWI for evening entertainment
- Bus to DTD and transfer to bus back to POP

Too much? what's the timing look like?

There's no need to take the boat from Cape May to BWI - it's an easy walk. I've pretty much done the same schedule for touring resorts to view Christmas decorations except I started with the Epcot resorts and ended with the MK ones so that I could have dinner at Chef Mickey's and then go to the MVMCP, so it's very doable in that time frame, however, I do it solo and I love Christmas decorations. Are you sure your kids are going to be that interested in just checking out Christmas decorations? Also, I would suggest not using DTD as a transfer point because wait times for buses can be bad. I would either take the boat to DHS and get a bus from there or take a taxi.

Sounds good. Just a question...are you planning on looking around at DTD, or just transferring? If just transferring, you could easily walk or boat from BWI to DHS and catch a bus to Pop. I really try to not use DTD for a transfer with all the construction and only 1 bus stop. It gets a bit crazy. Sounds like a fun resort hopping day! WL and GF are especially beautiful!!!!

It doesn't sound like a rest day but fun. We did the monorail loop resorts with our kids one year and it was a fun time. Chef Mickeys and the 3 resorts and monorail loop ride and we were done mid-afternoon (which was our plan) Can't tell you on bus times but it seems like you could always stop if you had had enough. I might have taxi money just in case.

Yeah, I actually don't mind going through DTD myself, but that's because I'll use it as an excuse to browse the shops (and most likely buy something ;)), but if you just want to transfer, DHS would most likely be better.

We do have a Chef Mickeys res, but it's for dinner on Tuesday the day before we head home.

I can see the expediency in going to HS to transfer toward our home resort, but I was concerned with how late it might be and if anything is going that way that late. It will be early December after all.

I just mentioned Chef Mickey's because that's the reason I tour the resorts in the opposite order that you're planning. With a Cape May dinner, it makes total sense to start with the MK resorts and end with the Epcot ones. You don't say how late your dinner ADR is, but I would be willing to bet that you won't spend as much time at BWI as you might think you will. Most of the time when I see threads about checking out the entertainment at BWI, there will be several posters who comment that there really isn't as much to do and see there as a lot of people think.

Cape May res is 5PM. Our intent with Boardwalk is just to see the resort. We've never stayed deluxe so checking out the resorts along with the decorations is really why we're doing this itinerary.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL is a great place to have lunch, if you're looking for a fun time! If you have a bit of extra time on your hands that afternoon you could also walk the trail from WL to FWC and eat at Trail's End Buffet! Your plans sound awesome - non-park days are some of my favorite! Hope you guys have a blast! :)
