Cricut deep cut blade

Has anyone ever tried to cut through 1/8th inch acrylic with this blade?? I'd like to cut Christmas ornaments that I can then run through my embosser. . . .

I would LOVE to know this!

I plan to invest in one of these blades soon, and the more uses, the more i can justify it!!

On the topic of the deep cut blade -- does anyone also know what type of chipboard will actually work with it? I tried the standard 12 x 12 chipboard that I bought from my LSS and the cutting got all wonky. It would start cutting part of it (but not all the way through) and would stop moving through the cardstock, but the blade would keep moving. It was very odd and upsetting since the main reason I paid the money for that blade was so I could cut the chipboard.
