One of my scrappy friends wants to borrow my bug to cut some transparencies. Before I loan it out, I want to know if it can even be done.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it work?

TIA!

I can't imagine transparencies would be any different than vinyl or heavy cardstock. The blade may need to be replaced much more often though.

It works wonderfully!

I've used it to cut them out. just make sure blade and speed are set at same for thick cardstock. sometimes you need to pop them out a little. oh and wipe the sticky residue from the mat off the back. i use a windex wipe. HTH's

Thank you! This is just what I was looking for. She's planning to come by tomorrow to pick up my Cricut so I will share your excellent tips with her. Thanks again!

Sorry Shauna I never got to this. Things are not going smoothly here right now. DH is home and messing with my system! Glad you were able to find the answer.

No problem, ma'am. I know how busy you are and honestly, this has been pretty far down on my radar with all of my pet and school stuff. I appreciate that you were willing to try!

wow you are really good friend. I wouldn't let a friend borrow my bug. I've invested to much money into it and I may miss her while she was gone.
