Thinking ahead. We have a 5:30 arrival time at airport. Assuming we land on time, we should get to Boardwalk between 7:00 and 7:30 (maybe sooner if quick to get bags, no traffic). After settling in room we thought we'd go to Crews Cup for a drink and something to eat.

That's walk up only, right? On a Tuesday night, if we get on list around 8:30 are we looking at a long wait?

I know no one can predict future, just looking for past experience. Thanks!

Definitely yes, or no.

We never had a problem when getting there at 5:00 or so.

It's a popular spot around dinner time for people having a drink while waiting for a Yachtsman's table, and, people that don't have dinner ADR's anywhere looking for somewhere to eat.

When we've been there around 7:00 - 8:00 it seems there's always a line.

5 we may still be in the air. 😀

We will see how bad it is around 8 or so. I'm sure we can find somewhere to go! No parks tickets that day.

I agree with @Robber Baron. If we get there early no problem. They start serving food at 5:00. By 5:30, getting a spot is hit or miss until 10:00 when they stop serving food. If all of the tables are taken you can stand to the side and wait for someone to leave, but there is often a group of others doing the same. Usually the people waiting are in an orderly line taking available tables in turn. It can take a while, especially if you need space for more than two people. We avoid going there very hungry if we aren't going to get there before it gets busy.

Martha’s Vineyard is at Beach Club. I think they serve a few food items. I don’t think it’s as busy, but not sure if it’s very good. I’ve never been there or see to many reviews.

That's an idea! I was also thinking maybe Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve would have lounges.
My experience with lounges at the swolphin is they are crowded if they are hosting a conference, if not they have been easy to get a seat. I have also had good luck getting a seat at the bar at flying fish, they serve the full dinner menu at the bar.

Interesting. I’ve never had a problem getting a table at CC. But I agree that you should target those 3 lounges — CC, MV, and A&C Lounge. All 3 have pretty good menus for food and all are pretty close to each other. The 2 at Yacht Club have a great atmosphere as well. Martha’s is so in need of a total refurb it’s comical at this point.

At Boardwalk, Abracadabra bar used to have a really nice food selection but we are not fans of the current iteration. Flying Fish bar is on my short list for our Boardwalk trip to try this June.

You could walk around and check Martha's, Crew's and Ale and Compass. We go to those often and usually get a table or bar seats without trouble. But we also tens to go between 4 and 6 ish. We also recently walked to Swan/Dolphin and sat at the Il Mulino bar (forget which one it's at) and had some food and drinks. That was pretty easy.

Between CC, A & C and MV you should be able to find a relatively short wait or none at all. It really depends on the time of year and if the YC is hosting a convention then all bets are off.
