Credit towards payment to an already booked future cruise

I have a 1 bedroom booked on the 3 night May 8th Dream sailing. I am now being furloughed for 14 days because I just got off the Fantasy on Saturday so work would not look kindly upon the fact if I went on another cruise so soon especially since I work in healthcare.

If I cancel, will I be able to transfer that credit towards payment on a June 2021 Greece cruise non concierge room that I booked on opening day last month or is that credit only allowed on new bookings?

Also, am I better off waiting to see if Disney cancels cruises thru early May and see if they then give the 125% credit as they are doing now with the cancelled cruises.

As an aside, the 7 night cruise on the Fantasy that we just got off of on Saturday was superb. Disney, as would be expected, was on top of their game in every aspect of hygiene, cleanliness and service!!! I was more worried about the airport.

The future booking has to be brand new. A new reservation number. You could cancel the opening day booking and re-book.

If you booked previously using the OBB discount, there are more nuances to consider. There are already threads on this topic. Check out this post:

I wouldn't cancel until you really have to - unless, of course, you are concerned about the prices of the future cruise going up. That is, the risk is the price of the future cruise goes up while you wait, and the reward is you might get 25% extra credit - or a 100% refund that you can still apply to your June 2021 booking.

I asked this question too and told NO. It must be applied to a new reservation only.

So it sounds like a refund may be the best option they apply to the 2021 balance. Just more steps. Would be so much easier if DCL would just move it over.

I know. This has added additional stress to an already stressful situation. Health is more important, but it’s still sad to have to cancel trips planned so long ago. My cruise is April 18 and waiting for it to be canceled, along with a WDW trip.
