credit reports??? free??

Has anyone gotten their 3 credit reports lately? What can you tell me about it? I don't have any credit issues but I haven't gotten mine in years, I think its time to check them and be sure all is what it should be. Is it still free once a year??

Yes, you can still get each of your 3 credit reports one time each year for free.

The correct site is:

annualcreditreport.com

You will not get credit SCORES, though.

Yup, and if you stagger your requests, you can check one of the 3 reporting bureaus every 4 months. Check Experian now, TransUnion in 4 months and Equifax in 8 months. Then 12 months from now you can start the cycle again. (I think I got the bureau names right - I'm tired... )

The 3 bureaus can sometimes have different info so it's best to check them all for the sake of consistency.

Yes, I got all of mine last November. It's good to check them every now and then because there can be outdated information on your report.

I get mine and I actually found a mistake on one of thim this yr. had it fixed no problim.

what I dont like is the free ones dont have your score

I check mine every three months so it's staggered over the year. I also just recently placed a freeze on my credit file. Got tired of those zombie debt people pulling my file. It was really easy to do.

I have a question. I registered on that site and it said it coud not identify my information. In reading further it said it was verifiying information off of TransUnion and it could not verify my identity.
I went into get my free copy and I could get my Experian one fine but when I tried to request TU, it said I had to call to receive.
I called the number but of course no humans.
I feel pretty sure I have gotten TU online before but it's been a while.
Anyone know if it sounds like something is wrong?
