I have read previous posting how people have used current credit card promos and other things to do their vacation for VERY cheap. We still have plenty of time for our next trip but I am starting to look into every option-we always pay our CC in full, so we are just looking for ways to get the extra bonus rewards! Does anyone know of any great deals going on now?

lots,if you have really good credit, and excellent discipline and organizing.:thumbsup2 I.e.- don't carry a balance, learn what you need to do to get what you need, and keep careful track of everything.
what do you want to do? check out million miles secrets and the points guy for just a starter to read....
off the top of my head, Southwest has a nice cc card and offer that is valuable for fllights to Florida....

My DH signed up for the Southwest airlines Chase Visa and had to spend $2,000 in the first 3 months and once he did he was rewarded with 50,000 SW airline miles. We used them to buy 3 of our 5 flights for our last trip. It saved us $800.

Now he uses it for all major purchases and pays it off every month and is racking up miles again that we will use to buy tickets on our November trip.

We thought about getting the Disney Visa to save up reward dollars for trips, but we get more $$ benefit from the airline miles. The airline tickets usually run around $330 round trip per person so if we can save up enough miles to pay for two tickets in just one year that is all we need. I don't want to try to split the purchases among several credit cards and not get maximum benefits from one card.

We also used the Southwest 50,000 points for our trip. 5 of us flew to Orlando and home again for $150.00. We also had over $1,200.00 in rewards from our Disney Chase, Chase Freedom and Citibank. All earned in less than about 2 years and with no interest paid in. Oh, there was a $99.00 fee for the Southwest card..so I guess the 5 round trip flights were actually $250.00...still an incredible deal. Check out all the sites on credit cards and the rewards they offer. It really depends what fits your lifestyle best. Have fun!

This is getting me so excited! Thanks for all of the great advice-opportunities to be able to travel with the family without breaking the bank sound fantastic. DH thinks I am crazy for wanting to put forth the effort to do this, but it sounds like the rewards will without a doubt outweigh the hassle!

Don't forget about the Target card (credit or debit). You can buy Disney gift cards for 5% off and if you get your prescriptions filled there too you get an extra 5% coupon after filling 5 prescriptions. DH just bought $1000 in Disney cards for $902.50 :)

We put everything on the Capital One Venture card and then use the "purchase eraser" to get free travel (buy it and then once the purchase appears on the Capital One website, we just "delete" it using our points). We love it because it can be anything travel related on any airline/hotel/car rental, etc. (and no foreign transaction fees).

We do the same thing - also found a little trick last year, if you use the Venture card and are staying on property you can link the card to your room key, then use that for purchases in the parks. Then when it hits your card it comes through as a travel expense which can be wiped off with the purchase eraser. If you swipe it directly in the parks it comes through as entertainment.

What a great trick! I will have to apply for that card next!!!
