Creative ways to countdown your trip

I am not the most creative person (ok I admit it...not creative at all), and so I'm asking for a little help from my fellow DISers. Our family is leaving in 114 days for WDW, and with 2 young kids (5 and 2) who have no concept of time I keep getting the question "Are we leaving today?" I would love to have a fun way to have them participate in our countdown.

What about a Disney advent calendar? You could find disney stickers to give them every day they open it.

Tickets you can give them a jar filled with tickets and every day they have to give you one ticket, when their ticket jar is empty its time to go. Replace tickets with whatever you want.

i do this for christmas. we make a chain of the days left till christmas/"day of your trip" (friendship chain...one loop into the other, kinda like a link), and at the end, i tape a candy cane/something disney?...and everyday/night, you tear one loop away, and as you get closer to the "date", the excitment builds, cuz your children will get to the "prize", whatever that may be, and then, it's the day!!! have fun on your trip...and have fun in between as well!!

A great Disser emailed me a countdown chain. Similar to a paper chain for the Xmas tree. It is a PDF file - just print and cut. The links are numbered. My 5 yr old twins glued the links and made the chain. We tear a link off every morning.
