Creative ways to book a non home GV 11 months out?

Don't all laugh........

We own at resorts with NO GV 3br (BC and VWL Boulder Creek). Trying to book a 3br for next summer. I am sure we can book SSR or potentially a few others at 7 months but any way to get the tough ones (BW, BLT) at 11 months out? We have the points (bank and borrow) for a week at any resort in a 3br but that does me no good since we don't own at the tougher ones like BW.

I will also add I am in no way interested in paying for points or paying for someone to book BW. Guess my only thought is to find someone to trade for a few years but that I am sure is unlikely.

Once in our DVC life we'd like to pull off a miracle and somehow get a 3br at BW. Too bad Disney doesn't give you a one time mulligan and allow something like this.

Best chance would be to rent your points and try to rent points where you want to stay. Just be sure to do it early, ideally have it set up before the 11 month point.

Depending on when in the summer you want to go, I think you have a shot at a GV at least BLT. I was looking this year in around April and I could still get about 4 nights in August there. I was researching for next summer as we want to split between BLT and BWV. We own BWV for the nights there, but will own SSR, and hoping to get 3 or 4 at BLT as well. So, I think the chances, right at 7 months, if you have some flexibility with dates in the summer, may be possible.

One. Very. L-O-N-G. Walk. And a lot of praying that someone who owns at the resort doesn't ruin it.

Sorry, but there are home resort advantages for a reason. Otherwise, everyone would purchase the cheapest points and stay at the most desirable resorts. If there were a way to work around the 7-month booking window for non-owners (and I'm not aware of any), those who know how to do it are not likely to make it public so that everyone can do it.

Good luck getting a GV for next summer. I own at BWV and booked mine more than 11 months in advance. And I walked the reservation in order to get my dates.
