Hello! We are staying at Saratoga springs in a one bedroom. It is myself and my husband and our three kids. Two tween boys and one 8 yr old daughter. None of the kids will share a bed at this point. DH and I will take the bed. So that leaves us the pull out couch for one kid. Has anyone experienced this and have some tips for us? TIA

SSR doesn't promise sleeping surfaces to accommodate 5 people in their 1-bedroom units, it's assumed that you will "bring your own" if there are more than 4 guests booked. So, bring your own inflatable mattresses, sheets and pillows. Don't unfold the sofa for just the one kid and you should have enough floor space for 2 twin mattresses.

ETA: You also will only get enough towels for 4 people, so you may want to bring a set for that extra person.

One bedroom, could be tight if they are not willing to share. I would skip the couch all together and bring 3 twin size blow up mattresses. I don't know how else to fit it. You may have to put one in the walkway when you open the door. Depending on space.

We took the cushions off the couch and made a bed for our daughter under the window in the bedroom. If I remember right, a twin mattress could feasibly fit there.

I would tell the boys they share or they both get to sleep on the floor with a blanket and pillow and your daughter sleeps on the couch without pulling it out. If they decide to share, then bring an air mattress for your DD. It looks like there is room in the kitchen or in the hallway near the front door for an air mattress.

Yeah I am a hard butt normally but I wouldn't want to sleep on the floor for a week. And none of us want them together ;)

I like the cushion idea for the one!

The thermarest ultralight cot. We too have three kids. These things are amazing. They fit into a carry on bag with room to spare for all your clothes. Dd uses it to travel with her swim team so she can have her own bed when sharing a room with three other girls. Extremely comfortable and take up little space. Assembled in two or three minutes. We will be using it at BWV in January.

I would put 2 kids on the pull out and one on an air mattress. Or have 2 of them pack an air mattress and they can draw straws for who gets the pull out.

I'd change to one of the locations that have sleeping options for 5 and preferably, one that has a second bath, if possible.

This is awesome!!! I am definitely considering this!

We love them! Just used it in New York where we had a suite with a king and a pull out. Dd, 13, set up camp and slept so well. Holds up to 300 lbs I think. Some great videos on YouTube.

We have been in this situation as well. Best bet is for one child to sleep on the couch (not pull out), one air mattress in the living room and one in the entry hall. If the entry hall is not big enough (some are not), then it will fit in the master but you have to be careful not to step on him/her if you get up in the middle of the night.

That cot thingy looks awesome...... Now that the kids are a lil older, it's harder to make them share a bed....I do like that some of the studios sleep 5 so, we they both get a separate bed, but I would really like the room that a 1 br provides....Just don't like spending the points on it...:confused3

We love the cot. I've been thinking about booking CCV but would have to get a two br because of their policy for only four in a one bedroom. The one bedrooms at other resorts plus our cot really fit the bill for us. Huge point savings too. The cot is extremely comfortable. Dd puts it in her carry on and it is very unobtrusive in the room. The size of an air mattress has always been off putting to me.

For awhile, my 2 older sons would share a bed, one on top of covers with a blanket, one under covers, so no touching by accident, lol. Then later, even that became unacceptable. We had 4 kids, not willing to sleep together as they got older, but we booked a 2 BR. (4 kids = 2BR!) We took one son (special needs) in the master BR, on an air mattress. Then each kid took a bed in 2nd BR, and another air mattress on floor there, or he used the pullout in living room.

Even with 3 kids, a 2BR may be in your future for a few years. We stretched the points by going every other year, with other non-Disney trips on off years. Then went every summer, but only Sun-Thur mights, doing weekend at Universal. (OKW and later BCV, so it was do-able with our measly 200 points!)
