I have the Creative Memories (scrapbooking) Disney snap pack and in the back of the book it gives idea's on making an ABC 7x7 album of your Disney trip. So for example, you would have the "A" page contain a picture of your kids with Aladin or Aurora, "B" would be with Belle or Buz, "C" would be a picture in front of the castle or another C thing. Since my dd is 4.5 and in the middle of learning her letters I thought it might be a great idea. But I wasn't sure if it would be too much work, trying to make sure to get a picture for every letter? Anyone ever try it?

The letters I'm having trouble with are: (suggestions welcome!)
I -Iago (but this might be tough?)
N- Norway, I guess but anything else?
O- Orlando airport? sort of boring?
R- running (towards a ride or something?)
U- United Kingdom?
Y-?

thanks!
Crissy

Cute idea! I've done an ABC book about my pregnancy but not about Disney- I like it. Let's see, here's what jumped into my head:

I- It's a Small world
N- Norwegian castle isn't bad if you're doing the PSB at Akershus
O- Orlando International Airport-take pics of you arriving or departing
R- Rafiki, Robin Hood, Rock N' Roller Coaster if she's big &/or brave enough
U- United Kingdom sometimes has Mary Poppins & Pooh- cute character pic page
Y- Why? Because we love you! (Sorry couldn't resist!)

Sorry I couldn't be more origingal on some. I thought your ideas were pretty good. If I think of more, I'll repost later. You know something ingenious will come to me at 3 a.m....

I did an ABC book, but it wasn't Disney. They are fun, but a lot of work. I would take a list, and try to get thr picts, but don't stress about it. Either way, you get some really cute photos.
N - nap?
Y - Yeti (They have stuffed ones in the gift shop)

I -Ice Cream (pic of the kids eating a Mickey Bar)
N- NEMO!!!
O- Astro Orbiter
R- Rafiki
U- Universe of Energy, Ursala
Y- Yeti would work now with EE. When I did one I did a page that says "m..i..c..k..e..Y...." and put little pics of the kids w/ Mickey between each of the letters

Here's my list I worked from to take pics...

A- Aladin, Animal Kingdom or Al's Toy Barn
B- Buzz Lightyear
C- Cinderella Castle, Chef Mickey's, Chip
D- Donald Duck, Dale
E- Eeyore, Elephant (shot of kids on Dumbo) or EPCOT
F- Figment
G- Goofy
H- Hercules or Haunted Mansion or Home on the Range!
I- ice cream (shot of kids eating a Mickey bar) or It's a Small World
J- Country Bear Jamboree, Jesse (from Toy Story) or Jasmine
K- Kenai or Koda
L- Lion King, King Louie, Liverlips
M- Mickey or Monorail
N- Nemo
O- Astro Orbiter
P- Pooh or Piglet
Q- quiet time (pic of kids napping back at hotel) or Queen of Hearts
R- Rafiki
S- Spaceship Earth, Splash Mountain or Spectromagic
T- Tigger, Tinkerbell, Teacups or Thunder Mountain Railroad
U- Universe of Energy or Ursula
V- family Vacation (family shot in front of castle or something)
W- Woody or Wilderness Lodge (where we will be staying)
X- Excalibur
Y- maybe Yacht club? M-i-c-k-e-Y or Wh[y]? Beacuse we like you!
Z- Zazu (who hosts the new tiki bird show!) or Zurg

When I did my abc book of the kids (not Disney) I couldnt think of things to go with each letter so I sometimes used it for the caption.

Y = YAHOO YIPPEE or something similar with a very excited kid pic.
I = Ice Station Cool??
O = Over and Over ... a favorite ride you did over and over lol
R = Round And Round ... Carosel Pic or Dumbo or another ride of the sort
U = Up and Down ... roller coaster ride pic??
N = Norway

I did this with my class for student teaching and we found objects that looked like letters (you know like if you look at a traffic light from the side it looks like an "E" or a bench from the side looks like an "h" or a street lamp post looks like an "r" and so on and so on).... maybee you could do that to... or you could have the kids lay down and make the letter.....

I did an ABC book too but it was not Disney. I really enjoyed it alot.

Y- Yummy treats--Kids eaating ice cream

How about at the end of the book....

A picture of you all by the front of the castle waving at the camera with the saying underneath

"You all come back now -- here."

(Quote from the 60's Beverly Hillbillies Show, reminding all guests that they are welcome back)

to use the Y ?

I think you mean "Ya'll come back now. Hear?" It's like they ask at the end of "Ya'll come back now" if the person heard them - to make sure they understand. That is how we use the term down south. :listen:

Maybe along this same line, you could use Y = YOU (the kids). I like Yeti, though. And Y? Beacuse we like you.

Good luck ~Mary

I did one in 2002 for my kids. I didn't go in meaning to take ABC pictures, I just thought of it afterwards. Therefore, many of my pages are kind of "creative." I didn't use a kit, just some alphabet stickers and a lot of embellishments. Also, most of my pictures have my kids or our family in them somewhere, 'cause, let's face it, kids love looking at themselves.

My O is "Open Mouth" and the picture is of ds sticking his face through the lego lion's mouth at DTD.

I is ice cream, and it's one ds eating a Mickey bar. :mickeybar

R is race car, and the kids are sitting in the car outside of Tomorrowland Speedway.

N is us on New York Street at MGM.

U is Ursula, from the back of a float in the MK parade.

Here's my whole list:
Ariel
Bear in the Big Blue House
Cinderella's Castle
Dumbo with Daddy
Epcot- us in front of the big golf ball
Fairy godmother
Green army man
Hercules
Ice cream
Japan
Kids- posing all cute with their ears on :earsboy:
Living Seas
Mickey Mouse, of course :mickeyjum
New York Street
Open mouth- with the lion's mouth
Piggy, Miss Piggy, that is
Quite a sight- the big belly dude from Hercules, from the MGM parade
Race car
Silly Sam (my son) in a Sorcerer's hat at DTD
Tigger
Ursula
Very strong, but not strong enough- the kids trying to pull the sword out of the stone at MK
Waterfall in Epcot - in Canada at Epcot
X-ray- in the Wonders of Life
Yummy- eating pastries in France at Epcot
buZZ lightyear

It was a really fun project, and I'm debating doing another one from our latest trip. Have fun! :thumbsup2
